Up 820am: Heavy rain began about 9am and to continue all day. Almost an inch predicted with temps to almost 70.
CRAZY INTENSE DREAMS
Watched, 'RIVER OF GRASS' (Kanopy). Set near the Everglades in Florida it's about a young woman with three small children in a loveless marriage who meets an aimless drifter. The guy has a gun and while swimming in a home pool Cozy thinks she's killed the owner so they take off together and on go on the run. The voice overs are probably the best part of the film, and the film might have worked better as a short novel, but the scenes involving Florida's seedy underbelly were quite good. First film for director Kelly Reichardt.
I noticed that Kelly Reichardt had another film on Amazon Prime, so I watched 'CERTAIN WOMEN'. Three linked short stories- A female lawyer tries to convince a man that he doesn't have a case, a woman and her husband are building their own house and they are given a load of sandstone bricks from an old man, and a young female who takes care of horses attends a seminar given by a young woman fresh out of law school. An unrequited crush develops. I'd seen this one before and had forgotten how good it was. It has been added to the Criterion Collection; with Laura Dern, James Le Gros, Jared Harris, Michelle Williams, and Lily Gladstone.
****I received a text from Janny saying that they were going shopping and asked if I needed anything and that they would drop it off on my breezeway. I said that I was good and told them to be safe...and to text whenever the mood strikes.

Looking around for virtual workouts and realized that the rain has abated until later tonight, so on with the green walking shoes and hit the neighborhood- 3pm.
Cloudy and breezy with temps in the sixties when I left (I took the umbrella) and it cleared out completely by sundown. Heavy rains still predicted for tonight.
Down Westview to Washington Park and this time clockwise. Out of the park on Parkview to Bedford to Lynnhaven. Down Fairway and up Greenview and down Westview. A SOLID AN HOUR AND A HALF.
***There was a man in front of the 'lawn mower house' at Bedford and Parkview. I asked him if he worked on lawn mowers since I had seen many offered for sale. I think he said that it was his father in law, but he does work on mowers and I should contact him. It's close enough so that I could push my mower to his house. Nice!
On the couch to read for almost two hours. More 'THE PLOT AGAINST AMERICA' and listened to BLUR. I love '13' and 'THINK TANK'.
In the tub at 630pm for more ROTH and BOB MOLD and BLUR- 'Think Tank'.
Watched, 'SPENCER CONFIDENTIAL' (Netflix). Crooked cops, Trinitarians with machetes, 'Batman and Robin', make a droll cop film set in South Boston; with Mark Wahlberg, Winston Duke, Alan Arkin, Marc Maron, and Post Malone.
"When two Boston police officers are murdered, ex-cop Spenser teams up with his no-nonsense roommate, Hawk, to take down criminals."
Then two episodes of Season Four, 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (Netflix).
****Around 1020 pm Internet speed dropped to 20 Mbps. Disconnected, but I got it back...for how long. Too many people on Netflix and the Internet is feeling the strain? Isn't it too late in the evening for that?
I checked again at 1105pm and I clocked in at 119 Mbps...Much more like it!
