Tu 3/17/2020- MY FIRST DAY OF QUARANTINE

Tu 3/17/2020- My first day of quarantine

Up 720am: Partly sunny with temps to 50.

****While searching for films on Hoopla I noticed that now I get 10 picks a month. I could swear it used to be only 5.

Watched, 'NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN' (Hoopla). I had forgotten how excellent this film was. Based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy and screenplay by the Coen Bros; with Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Woody Harrelson, and Kelly Macdonald. A multimillion dollar drug deal that goes bad in the Texas desert, a psychopath with an animal stun gun, and some brilliantly pithy dialog makes you messmerized to the screen for every minute of the film. 5 Stars, and 6 if the ratings went that high.

***The news is so depressing. There has been nothing like this and it does not seem real. Now they are saying this could go on through the summer....July and August...

1230pm: Going for a walk

Grant Dixon- 'The Big Fat Lie'

The LiftMaster 3850 Owners Manual is in Dropbox.

The door should be fully closed if possible. Pull down on the emergency release handle and lift the door manually. To reconnect the door to the opener, press the door control push bar.

It was bright and sunny at 1230pm and I headed down Westview to Fairway and up to the Park. All the way through to MacArthur and then out of the park on Parkview to Lynhaven and then back down Westview: Just over an hour.

Just up from 940 I met Bob and Carol out on their walk. She was miffed that she had been calling me Wayne for so long. He is working from home and they are both 'sheltering in place'. I didn't talk for more than a couple of minutes. She said they had to go, and they seem like nice neighbors.

I read for a couple of hours on the couch- 'GOING WILD' and listened to a bunch of tunes on the Altech living room speaker; Aimee Mann, 'Ooh La La', SUPERTRAMP, FOCUS, and I watched a 45" video (listened through the speaker and watched on the phone. Not bad) about Brandon Cummings of THE GUESS WHO.

Around 530pm I took another walk over to my old place at #43 on Durkin. I wasn't entirely sure which place was mine, and I was shocked that it never registered that the entire courtyard was full of those damn gumball trees. Up Westview to Lynhaven and over to Old Jack. Behind the bank and across Durkin. I noticed that LIME STREET CAFE was doing carryouts. Girls were delivering meals to cars parked in their lot...Lime green outfits. Back behind the large apartment complex (Monroe Gardens) and over to Lawrence, then back on Kenyon and down Fairway and back up to 940: Almost another hour walk.

In the tub to finish 'GOING WILD' and listened to BLIND FAITH and THE MELVINS.

Watched, 'JARHEAD: LAW OF RETURN' (Netflix).  An Israeli 'Gung-Ho' war film about a pilot for the Israel Defense Forces and son of a U.S. Senator who is shot down and taken captive by Syrian militia. And then rescued by a unit of 'Gung-Ho' Marine Raiders. I would imagine the film would be very insightful and entertaining for young boys and old Republicans.

Then episode one of Season Four, 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (Netflix)....And, the last episode of Season Three, but I watched the wrong episode in Season Three. The story line is very unclear.
