Up 7am: Cloudy with rain possible mostly late this afternoon (8pm: hasn't happened so far)- high 60's.
Watched Netflix disc, 'MANAGEMENT'. It's almost impossible to present a positive love story about a stalker in a comedy, and this film is no exception. The whole thing was wildly improbable. A motel clerk in Kingman, AZ has a hookup with a random businesswoman, and he becomes romantically obsessed. When he joins a Buddhist monastery for a few months, it became just too much to accept. And, Steve Zahn's 'middle-school' schick is getting old; with Jennifer Aniston, Steve Zahn, Fred Ward, and Margo Martindale.
***Library is all out of picks for Hoopla
Then watched a French/Canadian film, 'THE DECLINE' (Netflix). After a man is blown up at a remote survivalist camp, members can't decide whether to go to the police or hide the body. The group splits, some go to report and the others break out the heavy artillery to stop them. The film is basically an opportunity to stage fistfights and gunplay. Not bad, but close.
Decided to walk first, then read, but I saw how warm it was, so a bike ride is in order.
215pm: On the bike to mail the disc at the Monroe PO. Up Westview and down Parkview to Fayette east. Then, over to Fayette alley east, north on 4th, and up through town and dropped the disc at the PO on Monroe. Checked out the marijuana dispensary- THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN. Out south on 8th by Lincoln's Home. Far south to just north of Ash, then meandered west....by Jamie's house. South on State to the car wash and over to MacArthur. Across Wabash by new gas station. On the bike trail to Trail Bridge, then clockwise around the entire mall. Lazily through the neighborhood, and clocked..AN HOUR AND FORTY-FIVE MINUTES.
Downstairs to read and a cup of instant- QUADROPHENIA. Then upstairs for more 'VIVA LA MADNESS' and listened to SMALL FACES- 'Nod Is As Good..' and THIEVERY CORPORATION-' The Richest Man In Babylon'.
Then in the tub with more English Criminals and more THIEVERY CORPORATION and THE THIN WHITE ROPE.
Watched 'BADLAND' (Netflix). Corny, preachy, melodramatic Cowboy Saga that was close to satire. Pinkerton Agent will not be deterred from his mission...Get them Civil War criminals! The moralizing tone seemed to be designed to appeal to old, white people or very young boys.
Then the next episode of, 'HOW TO FIX A DRUG SCANDAL' (Netflix). The chemists were stoned on the job and management was well aware of the problem, yet nothing was done.
A Netflix live concert, 'DAVE CHAPPELLE'. Left 35" to watch tomorrow. Very funny.
