Up 625am: It started snowing around 7am and all the lawns are covered- about a quarter inch. Rain to begin later this afternoon and continuing through the night- temps to upper 40's. Snow disappeared by noon.
I wrote up 'COGAN'S TRADE'- George V. Higgins for the blog.
Watched, 'NO STRINGS ATTACHED' (Amazon Prime). A couple are convinced that they can be 'sex friends', but love intrudes. A movie that's silly, predictable, and not above the usual rom-com corniness; with Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher, Kevin Kline, Greta Gerwig, and Ludacris.
Then the last episode of, 'HOW TO FIX A DRUG SCANDAL' (Netflix). The ACLU was able to overturn thousands of Massachusetts convictions on cases handled by the two crime lab chemists. They never mentioned whether the rules have changed and that now chemists (or anyone with access to police drug storage units) must be drug tested. It seems like this should have been an obvious rule from the very beginning.
I wrote a reply to an email from Janny about 'Me and Cats' and Jamie's recovery.
1230 pm: To try to get in the walk and miss the rain, I'm going on the walk early.
Down Westview, Fairway, and across to the golf course and up to Lawrence, then over to Edwards heading to Walnut. Then south to the southern edge of the panhandle and through the park...I DID THE MIDDLE CIRCLE TWICE...then back down to the path through the ducks and south and then up the hill out of the park. Parkview, Kenyon, and 940. JUST OVER TWO HOURS; Mp3- EARLY FLEETWOOD MAC LIVE/ THE SMITHS/ FUNKADELIC/ WILCO.
Then on the couch and listening to the living room Altech and reading Anne Tyler; THE YOUNGBLOODS and YOUNG GALAXY.
In the tub with more TYLER and listened to PHOENIX and HOT CHIP.
Began the Netflix disc, 'ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD'. Watched half of the film; 1'23".
Then the last episode of Season 2 of 'OZARK'. I want to begin Season 3 soon.
Then a, 'CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM' (Amazon Prime). Larry thinks that the weatherman is calling for rain on sunny days so that he can golf with a lot less people. A discussion of 'elastic' with his dentist. Larry can't stand to congratulate a friend because he hurt his back when he 'fell in the toilet'. The audience thinks he is slighting the guy.
