We 4/1/2020
Up 645am: Bright and sunny with temps to mid 50's.
Watched, 'TEARS OF THE SUN' (Hoopla). Melodramatic to corny. A SEAL team is sent to Nigeria to rescue a female doctor and some missionaries. The rebels are in hot pursuit because a member of the Nigerian royal family is among these evacuees. This would have caused an unprecedented international incident had this occurred in real life; with Bruce Willis, Tom Skerritt, and Monica Bellucci.
Then watched, 'MARGOT AT THE WEDDING. Not much of a real plot or storyline, just setups for quirky and odd conversations about relationships that are in a constant state of flux. Some of the dialog is mildly amusing, yet none of it even comes close to the weakest Woody Allen film; with Nicole Kidman, Jack Black, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ciaran Hinds, and John Turturro. Directed by Noah Baumbach and he was married to Jennifer Jason Leigh.
I posted this in the comments for the film at Kanopy.
I wrote a reply to Janny that I appreciate the offer of the mask and gloves. They'll be by early Thursday morning to drop them off on the breezeway. I told her that this would not be a social visit and I hope that they understand.
1pm: PC is "Off" and I'll read for an hour or so and then the daily walk.
On the couch to nap/read 'VIVA LA MADNESS' and listened to an audio chat from Ameriprise about the market conditions (30").
At 5pm out the door and up Westview and over Fairway and south on Lynnhaven across Old Jack and then east on Pebble Beach to Laurel. Straight east to Park and then north through the park. Up Parkview and down Westview. AN HOUR AND A HALF.
Home to hit the tub with more J.J. Connolly and listened to BLACK MOUNTAIN 'Wilderness Heart' and TY SEGALL AND WHITE FENCE 'Hair'.
***Janny and Joe are going to stop over tomorrow morning to drop off a face mask and some gloves on their way to Sam's. They asked if I wanted anything, and I wrote that I'd like a couple of green cabbages. I'll leave a fiver in an envelope in the mailbox.
Watched, 'I AM WRATH' (Netflix). Corny and cartoonish. A man's wife is murdered and made to look like an act of random violence. The husband and a buddy dish out revenge on those they think responsible, but the governor is behind it all... Silly... with John Travolta and Christopher Meloni.
Then watched, 'HOW TO FIX A DRUG SCANDAL' (Netflix). Chemists in Western Massachusetts test drugs for police and some skim off the top for personal use.
Finally, 'COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE' (Netflix). Jerry and Gary Shandling tour their old TV lot after coffee.
