Up 645 am: Sunny with temps to upper 70's and more rain moving in this evening.
Watched Netflix disc, 'PAIN AND GLORY'. Pedro Almodovar's reflection on a film director's personal history. This man is not in the best of health and 'chasing the dragon' eases his pain, and sparks some of his most poignant memories; with Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz.
Then, 'ABDUCTED' (Xfinity-Showtime). A man's daughter is abducted and he takes the law into his own hands to get her back. CURIOUS INCLUSIONS...A gay couple, a deaf black man, female lead detective; Bruce Willis and Charles Bronson have done dozens just like this...only better.
115 pm: PC is off and getting ready for the walk to beat the rain later. Rinsed the bong at the faucet outside. Works 100% better.
135 pm: Down Westview and east on Lawrence and north on Edwards. Downtown to the PO box on Monroe then 6th south to where I used to park when I was an operator. West and across the tracks on Allen. All the way to the park. Up Parkview and down Greenview and up to 940. JUST OVER TWO HOURS, and I beat the rain. Listened to LIVE WINWOOD AND CLAPTON and ELVIS.
On the couch and listened to JON SPENCER BLUES BAND, SOUL ASYLUM and THE FOO FIGHTERS.
Then in the tub with more ELMORE LEONARD and THE SPIN DOCTORS and THIEVERY CORPORATION.
Started 'JOKER' (HBO-XFINITY). This is the movie that makes the 'free weekend' worth it. Watched 51" and saved the rest for tomorrow morning.
Watched two episodes of, 'TRUE CRIME' (HBO-XFINITY). A sixteen year old black 'gender fluid' teen is tortured and shot to death in an alley in Burlington, Iowa. It should have been tried as a hate crime, but the two perps are doing life without parole.....A twenty-four year old woman goes missing while jogging. She was training for an ultra-marathon and fourteen months later her body was found in a remote section of a Utah canyon. The examination of the body did not reveal whether it was an accident or foul play.
