Su 5/24/2020-69: DROPPED MALWAREBYTES FREE
Su 5/24/2020
Up 650 am: Partly sunny with temps to mid 80's and fairly humid.
Watched the last part of Chapter One of 'The DOOMSDAY BOOK' trilogy (Amazon Prime) and Chapter Two was directed by Bong Joon Ho, 'PARASITE'.
1) Zombie virus spread 'from the bite of an apple'; see Genesis.
2) Robot achieves Nirvana and the monks want to keep it.
3) Girl orders an eight ball from an alien website and causes a 'ten kilometre eight ball' to crash into the Earth.
Then I finished the last forty minutes of 'DAYS OF RAGE: THE ROLLING STONE'S ROAD TO ALTAMONT' (Amazon Prime). I couldn't believe that after the race track venue was selected the promoters had less than a day to setup. Also, had the San Francisco chapter of the Hells Angles been on the front of the stage instead of the Oakland Chapter, things might have been much more peaceful. And, the film fails to mention that the Hells Angels who killed the man actually were acquitted. The court backed their assertion that it was self-defense since Meredith Hunter pulled on them.
***Before I started the film I noticed that the PC had slowed almost to a crawl. Malwarebytes Free was running in the background. I deleted it from the system until I can make sure that I can run it only when needed. There is a way, but the instructions were different from what I was looking at.
Then watched, 'CUTTER'S WAY' (Amazon Prime). A fantastic 'film noir' and I can't believe I had never seen or heard of this one. A man witnesses another man dump a body one rainy night. The murderer is a rich and influential member of the community and the witness and his disabled war buddy decide to blackmail him. They say that they will turn him in before cash is exchanged, but, in the end, the witness shoots him with his dying friend's hand also on the gun; with Jeff Bridges, John Heard, and Lisa Eichhorn.
145 pm: PC is 'Off' and will get an early start on the walk since it's humid and some heavy showers are predicted for early evening.
At precisely 2:22 pm I walked: Up Westview, Oakmont, Pebble Beach, Country Club, Laurel, Asphalt Outer Park. Then Walnut north to panhandle. South side thru the middle of the park and up the hill by the carillon. Parkview, Greenview, and up to 940: JUST OVER TWO HOURS. Listened to BILL FRISELL, THE ARCTIC MONKEYS, STONES- 'Bigger Bang'.
Home to read on the couch and listened to MORE FRISELL, 'The Who Sell Out'- PETRA HADEN, 'Rather Ripped'- SONIC YOUTH.
Did the Weekly Cleaning- just upstairs, but hoovered the stairs going downstairs.
In the tub with more Connelly and listened to more BILL FRISELL and YO LA TENGO.
Then watched an episode of, 'GETTING DOUG WITH HIGH' (YouTube), and then the first and second episodes of, 'HOMECOMING' Season 2 (Amazon Prime). Then some more of an episode of, 'GETTING DOUG WITH HIGH'. I had forgotten how funny this could be.
