Th 5/14/20- Car Delivery- 59
Th 5/14/20
Up 645 am: Much warmer, overcast and a chance for rain most of the day: to mid 70's.
Wrote up 'PROOF POSITIVE'- Phillip Margolin for the blog.
Watched, 'BURNING' (Hoopla). A young Korean man meets a girl from his childhood and they begin a relationship. When she travels to Africa and returns with a wealthy stranger, and later she disappears, it seems that the stranger is her killer and the young man takes his revenge. Slow paced, yet gripping.
Part of a quote from The Hollywood Reporter..."one rife with subtle perceptions about class privilege, reverberating family legacies, creative confidence, self-invention, sexual jealousy, justice and revenge."
***1045 am: A semi with eight cars on the trailer pulled up in front of the house. The driver was met by a woman and he unloaded a gray muscle-type car; Dodge or Ford? A car delivery to Boozer's old house?
***1145 am: Restarted computer for Patch Tuesday Updates.
Then watched two episodes of, 'CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM' (Xfinity- HBO).
The latest weather forecast shows that the rain has left the area so watched another episode of, 'TRIAL BY MEDIA' (Netflix). A man goes on the JENNY JONES SHOW to learn who has a 'secret crush' on him. He learns that it is a man who has a romantic interest in him, and later he kills him. He does 22 years in prison and his family sues the show. They earn millions in a successful suit, yet the case goes to the state supreme court and it is overturned. I don't think that there is any sense of closure or real justice with the final resolution.
315 pm: on the walk. Down Westview and east on Lawrence. Over to Edwards and east to Pasfield. South to Vine and west thru Washington Park. Around the middle of the park and out to Parkview and down Westview to 940. TWO HOURS AND TEN MINUTES; Mp3- 'Paranoid'- BLACK SABBATH, 'Pinups'- BOWIE, and DRIVE-BY TRUCKERS.
Home to read on the couch and listened to SAVOY BROWN, then in the tub with more ELMORE LEONARD- 'The Hot Kid' and listened to REM- 'Automatic For The People' and 'Document'.
Watched a 60" YouTube video, 'STEVE WINWOOD: ENGLISH SOUL (BBC).
Then watched, 'UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT- KIMMY VS THE REVEREND' (Netflix). In the form of a very clever 'interactive format', and I should take the time to see what the story would have been like with the choices that I didn't take (What Titus's song would have been like if he didn't know the words to 'Freebird').
Used the rice cooker for dinner (first time) and had a cheese sandwich.
