***Watered the flowers out front and trimmed the 'reddish' tree off of the breezeway.

Watched, 'THE SECRET SCRIPTURE' (Hoopla- borrowed yesterday). Jim Sheridan directs and he also directed, 'BROTHERS'. Sheridan was born on 2/6/49. An Irish young woman travels from England to Ireland during WWII to be in a neutral country. She has an affair with a downed pilot, attracts the attention of the local priest, is incarcerated in a mental institution for the crime of being a nymphomaniac, gets pregnant by the pilot, escapes and has the baby on the beach. The priest takes the child and gives it to a local family and falsely blames the young woman of killing the child. Decades later a psychiatrist is asked to help move the woman from the institution as it is being closed. In the end, we learn that the shrink is the long lost child. Reviews were lukewarm and maybe this probably made a better novel than a film.

Then re-watched, 'BETWEEN TWO FERNS' (Netflix). Should have been called, 'BETWEEN VERY FUNNY AND ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL'.

Wrote The Wrap and sent it off.

In the Elantra just before 3 pm. Had time to get the blood work before the appointment.

***No carts in the store. They leave them outside so that if you don't bring one in it's a bitch to get out and get one. Why?
530 pm reading The 4th Deadly Sin. NO WALK TODAY. 

In the tub with The 4th Deadly Sin and listened to BON IVER and BONNIE PRINCE BILLY. 

After a bowl I was entranced with an episode of, 'GETTING DOUG WITH HIGH'- Alexi Wasser, Abdullah Saeed and Jade Catta-Preta, and then part of another episode where Doug and his guests concentrated on 'dabs'. 

Began, 'PARTY MONSTER' (Amazon Prime).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
