Up 615am: Overcast and a very cool morning with temps only to 70. Windows are open and the AC is 'Off', but to the upper 80's later.

Wrote up 'O-ZONE' for the blog.

Watched Netflix disc 'CHOP SHOP'.  A young boy and his sister(?) earn a living in a sprawling car repair/junkyard on the outskirts of Queens, New York. The setting could be a third world country and was disconcerting to see such poverty in The Land of The Free and The Home of The Brave. Another saga of people striving to survive on the lowest rung of the economic ladder.

***1045am: Fire Truck arrived to 'drain the fireplug'.
***Paid the car insurance. Got about a twenty-five dollar reduced rate due to less driving during the pandemic. They will send the receipt. 

Tried to watch a film from Hoopla, but the quota had been reached. Looked on Kanopy, but found a film that was on Amazon Prime.

Watched 'SOUTHERN COMFORT' (Amazon Prime). Walter Hill directs a film about a group of National Guardsmen who are threatened and then attacked by angry locals. While on a routine exercise the squad  steals the locals' canoes and the Cajuns fight back. Not exactly dull, but very predictable; with Keith Carradine, Powers Boothe, Fred Ward, and Peter Coyote. Ry Cooder did the music.  

A very pretty summer day with no hint of rain in the forecast, but I'm going for an early walk.

130pm. Lawrence, Edwards, Monroe PO to mail the disc. Back Monroe to Fairhills Dollar Store. $24.earbuds, umbrella, incense, coffee mate, mouth wash. Chatham South, Fairway, up to 940. 2 HOURS.

Cup of instant downstairs, reading GARP, and listening to LIVE GRATEFUL DEAD, and LIVE BYRDS.

In the tub with GARP and listening to THE DREAM SYNDICATE, DONALD FAGEN-  'The Nightfly', then I listened to a YouTube video of GREG PROOPS interview JOEY DIAZ. 

Watched 'NEW YORK DOLL' (Amazon Prime). Arthur 'Killer' Kane plays with 'The Dolls' one more time. Born on February 3, 1949.  22 days after the reunion concert he goes into a hospital emergency room, is diagnosed with Leukemia and he's dead two hours later. 

Then watched 'BECOMING EVIL: SERIAL KILLERS- 21ST CENTURY (Amazon Prime). ; Joe De Angelo- 'Golden State Killer', 'BTK Killer'- Dennis Rader, 'The Milwaukee Cannibal'- Jeffrey Dahmer, and several others.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 35 MINUTES; ORNETTE COLEMAN Playlist; began a J.R.E. with an English podcaster. 9am: Janny called and they will be here after their appointment with Dax at 10am.   Watched more of 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix)- The Belgian soap opera of 'all the beautiful people'. 1045am- 1235pm: She met one of her students who was a girl who is now a man. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
