Up 725am: Very sunny, hot and humid- temps to 90.
Watched Netflix disc 'THE TRAITOR'. Two and a half hours of basically an Italian courtroom drama in which a major Sicilian mob figure rats out the Cosa Nostra and manages to avoid retribution by entering witness protection in Brazil and the US, yet still maintains that he is an honorable man... Mild and bland.
***1145am: time out to water the flowers out front and do a bit of weeding. AC is 'On'- very hot already.
Smoked a small bowl and watched 'ELECTRICK CHILDREN' (Amazon Prime). A fifteen year old Mormon girl believes that she was impregnated by listening to a cassette recording by The Nerves. Wholly implausible, but the acting was first-rate and I liked it; Julia Garner, Liam Aiken, Billy Zane, and Rory Culkin.
245pm: Preparing to enter The Heat. Will take the bike out to mail the disc and maybe walk afterward.
3pm on bike to the Wabash PO the usual way {to Planet Fitness}, then east on bike trail and across Wabash by Casey's. North St. east and north on Walnut to Wash Pk. thru south side of park, Parkview, Lynn haven, Fairway, up to 940. NOT QUITE AN HOUR AND A HALF. No music.
Home to read downstairs and listened to tapes. Finished THE COSMIC RAPE ~ Many interesting passages, but somewhat confusing.
In the tub and began 'STRAIGHT MAN' ~ Richard Russo~. Listening to Albert Ayler, Little Walter, then Jack Black on Sam Jones.
Watched, 'CADILLAC TRAMPS: LIFE ON THE EDGE' (Amazon Prime). One of the best bands from Orange County that I had never heard of...a couple of their albums on Amazon Prime are now on my phone.
Then an episode of 'MODERN LOVE- 'The Race Grows Sweeter Near Its Final Lap'- the end of Season I (Amazon Prime). A story of two joggers who meet late in life, bond over running and common outlooks, marry, and then the husband dies. And, the last third of the episode is kind of a recap of the entire season.
