Up 620am: Eighty degrees at 630am. I opened the windows for about ten minutes until I realized how hot it was already. Possible rain late this afternoon (didn't happen) and a Heat Advisory until 7pm with heat index values of 105 to 110.

Watched Netflix disc 'BEFORE I FORGET'. A Parisian man of about sixty has tested HIV positive for many years and the film is a grim reflection of the emptiness of his life. As a much younger man he had been a well-connected gigolo, but now he is alone and he is dying. A moving portrait of a man at the end of his life. 

Then watched 'TRIAL BY FIRE' (Amazon Prime). Based on the true story of Todd Willingham, a Texas man who was sentenced to death for the murder of his three young daughters. Years after he was executed scientists overturned the questionable expert evidence that was introduced at his trial; with Jack O'Connell and Laura Dern. 

Watched and read videos and articles about the case. His ex wife is convinced that he did it- no real surprise there. 

130pm: Preparing for another walk in the heat. Will drop the dental check and mail back the Netflix disc.

Read downstairs with GARP and listened to 'Kiko' LOS LOBOS, then did the Weekly Cleaning. 

In tub with GARP and listening to KOKO TAYLOR,  BYRDS- '5th Dimension', Music From Big Pink' - THE BAND, YouTube GEORGE KNAPP & JEREMY CORBELL- THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE. 

Watched 'THE BIZARRE CASE OF STEPHEN MCDANIEL' (YouTube). The film is an excellent documentary of a police interrogation of a stalker who murdered his victim. The 25 year old man goes into 'zombie mode' and successfully deflects the interrogation. There was enough evidence to convict, but the cops couldn't sweat a thing out of him. 

Then 'THE DESTURBING CASE OF NIKKO JENKINS' (YouTube). A black convict recently out of prison kills four more people, and he carves himself up while in prison. He has a tested IQ of 70. 

And finally another episode of 'BEYOND THE POLE' (Amazon Prime). Since I can't get Bravo, this series is a remarkable substitute for the same kind of sickening folderol. They both peddle a notion of female empowerment, but actually they're just presenting a guide to be crass, selfish, and narcissistic.
