Up 630am: Sunny and hot- temps to mid 80's.
Added 4 albums to the Mp3; THE BRAINIACS- 'Smack Bunny Baby', LOS LOBOS- 'Will The Wolf Survive', THE SCREAMING BLUE MESSIAHS- 'Gun Shy', SUGAR- 'Beaster'.
Watched 'A CIVIL ACTION' (Hoopla). A rather bland, yet effective civil action case concerning a group of Massachusetts families whose children died from cancer due to improper disposal of chemicals at a local tannery. The lawsuit named Beatrice Foods as the defendant since the tannery was owned by one of their subsidiaries. "We should have verified who helped in the cleanup, not who dumped the chemicals in the first place"; with John Travolta, Robert Durvall, Tony Shalhoub, William H. Macy, Kathleen Quinlan, James Gandolfini, and Sidney Pollack.
I tried to use the old memory stick in the pen cup to copy all the music on the living room PC. Not enough room, so I just copied a few 'important' records; 'Smack Bunny Baby'. Also I spent some time reading through some of the posts on "The Cheese Stands Alone" from when I first moved to Westview.
Then I watched the end of 'BEYOND THE POLE - The Reunion Show'. I thought I would get another season, but not the case. I would have to sign up for a 'free' premium channel.
***I called AAA Siding in Lincoln to address the cracked garage window, however they didn't do the windows they installed the gutter screens. I guess I call Gabe's if I decide I want to replace the garage window.
Watched a couple of YouTube videos about Ornette Coleman. He was very soft spoken, not the wildman that I had expected.
1230pm: PC is 'Off' and will read for a bit and then do the walk.
Plowed through more of Ornette bio and listened to Coleman on the living room Altec.
***335pm. Parkview to Wash Pk..... ***SAW LARRY AND WIFE COMING WEST DOWN HILL NEAR CANAL..*** I fled across to Fayette, Amos north to Edwards, south on 2nd. Across So. Grand and west on Cedar. North side, up hill, Parkview, 940. 2 HRS. 5 MINS. Mp3 BRAINIAC, COSTELLO RETROSPECTIVE.
Home to more ORNETTE bio and music in the living room.
In the tub with COSMIC RAPE and listening to ALLMAN BROS, 'Hittin The Note', LESLIE WEST'S MOUNTAIN, and then finished the Steve Jones interview with Carey Mulligan. Began 'Off Camera' with Liz Phair.
Watched 'HESHER' (Amazon Prime). Another pleasant 'quirky' surprise. A film about 'grief and loss' with 'an id run rampant'...'headbangin psycho(analyst)'... ; with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Devin Brochu, Piper Laurie, and Natalie Portman.
Then the first episode of 'FEAR CITY- NEW YORK VS. THE MAFIA' (Netflix). The FBI learns to use RICO and bugs the New York mafia for the first time. Saved 20" for tomorrow...tired...
