Up 715am: Another brutally hot and humid day with a chance of pop-up showers late this afternoon- low 90's.
***Added 'Happy Trails'- QUICKSILVER'S MESSENGER SERVICE and 'Remain In Life'- THE TALKING HEADS to Mp3.
Watched 'LAST DANCE'. After twelve years on death row a woman finally finds a lawyer who mounts a successful stay of execution, then the ruling is overturned and she is put to death. I don't think that I was the only one who thought there would be a different outcome; with Sharon Stone, Randy Quaid, Peter Gallagher, and Rob Morrow.
Then I tried to watch ''HOW RADIO ISN'T DONE' (Amazon Prime). But then I noticed that 'this film is not available in your area'. What?
Watched, 'SLITS-HERE TO BE HEARD: THE STORY OF THE SLITS' (Amazon Prime). I guess they were more famous as a band than for the popularity of their music. Their biggest influence was that they were a band of women who tried to widen the scope of what was called 'Punk Music'.
Looks like some strong storms will be moving in early this evening, so today I will try to do an abbreviated walk in the park and hit the Dollar Store.
Once again I failed to make it to the Dollar Store.
120pm. Westview, Lynn haven, Beach, Laurel Asphalt Outer Park. North on Bates in park around the panhandle at MacArthur, up the hill, Parkview and down to 940. 2 HOURS AND 20 MINUTES. Mp3 REMAIN IN LIGHT, MORE JACK THAN GOD, CITIES OF THE HEART.
Home to read downstairs. Finished OZONE and began THE WORLD ACCORDING TO GARP. Listened to DAVID MURRAY LIVE, GRATEFUL DEAD LIVE.
In the tub with GARP and listening to JIMMY SMITH, THE PONTIAC BROTHERS, KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND.
Watched, 'BAKED IN BROOKLYN' (Amazon Prime). A hipster nerd from Brooklyn loses his job and then starts selling weed. He's hoping to become a writer and the film almost seems like a memoir, but I guess that it wasn't. Reminded me that Paul Rust (LOVE- Netflix) would have really brought some life to this rather tame product. He would have nailed the part and the actor that plays the lead in this film even looks like him.
Then watched 'FAMILY FOOD CHALLENGE- British Classics' (Amazon Prime). A Scottish family and an English family compete to see who can cook a favorite dish for 40 diners. Corny scripted nonsense.
