Up 630am: Sunny to mid 80's. 

Back from the grocery shopping by 740am.  Under $80 bought- no beer and almost no canned goods.

Watched 'BEING JOHN MALKOVICH' (Netflix)...  "Nominated for 3 Oscars. Another 48 wins & 75 nominations..."  A puppeteer is forced to take a clerical position on the 'seventh-and-a-half' floor of an office building in Manhattan and discovers a portal into the mind of John Malkovich. I had forgotten how crazy and hilarious it was; with John Cusak, Cameron Diaz, Catherine Keener, Mary Kay Place, and Orson Bean.

Then I watched 'TRUST' (IMDB-TV).  An intelligent portrayal of a fourteen year old girl who is targeted by an online pedophile twenty years her senior. It shows that the actual sexual encounter is not the worst part of the ordeal and the effects to her family and friends seem insurmountable. The girl can only accept that she's lost the only person who seemed to love her, and that turns out to be a lie. He's had at least three other relationships with under aged girls, and when the specifics of her online romance are revealed, how can she live with the shame? The last scene shows that the predator is a successful, well-liked, and married teacher with a middle-school aged son; with Liana Liberato, Clive Owen, Catherine Keener, Viola Davis, and Noah Emmerich. 

2pm: The plan is to bike to the 'Y', then on the trail north to Westside Church- Maybe a walk afterwards.

5~6pm...3 MILES ON THE TREADMILL, 60 MINS. Watched THE BUSINESS OF DRUGS ~ Synthetics. 'Spice' is a synthetic marijuana. Dr. Alexander Shulgin. More of ANTHONY JESELNIK.

In the tub with NIGHT SINS and listening to NEIL YOUNG~'Freedom', THE GRATEFUL DEAD~'Workingman' s Dead', THE BEATLES ~'Help', YouTube. 

The PC is still trying to run the fucking Updates. I paused for a week, but what then?

Watched 'SHEPARD & DARK' (Amazon Prime). Sam and a friend exchanged letters for decades and forty years later there is an offer to publish. That falls through, but the friendship remains, yet not the same. Quirky, odd, and I wonder if they reconciled before Sam passed away.

Then the next episode of 'LAST CHANCE U' (Netflix). Coach John Beam is on his forth quarterback only two weeks into the Laney Community College (Oakland, CA) football season.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am.  Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
