Up 710am: Sunny and a few degrees warmer- to 84.
Watched 'SOUVENIR' (Amazon). Somewhat of a difficult film, but in the end it's a captivating portrait of a toxic relationship between a young English couple who belong to Britain's upper-class. Julie is a beginning film school student from a very wealthy family who meets Tom, a rather unsuitable, yet privileged boyfriend. "Do you have to like the characters in order to like the film"? The answer is a resounding 'No' because of the morally questionable character of Anthony, the junkie aristocrat who is nearly equal parts charming and repellent; with Tom Burke, Tilda Swinton, and Honor Swinton Byrne (Tilda Swinton's real-life daughter). I really liked this one!
I watched a few YouTube reviews and a 49" interview with Joanna Hogg (dir.), Honor Swinton Byrne and Tilda Swinton. I located two more films by Joanna Hogg at Amazon Prime; 'Archipelago' and 'Exhibition'.
Then I watched the last two episodes of 'THE GREAT HEIST' (Netflix). The largest paper currency bank robbery of all time- worth 41 U.S. million dollars today. A very good series.
315pm: preparing for a long walk. My right calf is completely back to normal and I had no muscle spasms last night.
345pm...Parkview, Country Club, Outer Park, Lincoln north and east on Leland, Vine west thru park and up the hill, Parkview... 2 HOURS AND 10 MINS. Mp3... 'Pet Sounds' ~ THE BEACH BOYS, KINGS OF LEON, THE GIN BLOSSOMS.
Home to listen to A TRIBUTE TO RICHARD THOMPSON and read the internet about Q~ ANON.
In the tub with A FAINT COLD FEAR and listening to 'Hot Tub' ~ THE NUDE PARTY, THEE OH SEES, THE MELVINS- 'A Walk With Love And Death'.
Watched the Netflix disc that came today, 'MARTHA, MARCY, MAY, MARLENE. A woman flees a cult and has difficulty with life without the group and rekindling a relationship with her sister. And in the final scene, the cult members come for her because she participated in killing; with Elizabeth Olsen, Julia Garner, Sarah Paulson, and John Hawkes. A nice try, but no cigar.
