Up 730am: Hot and humid with temps to the low 90's with a chance of storms this afternoon. Very high winds with little rain during the early evening. It looked scary and the temperature dropped about thirty degrees in thirty minutes. 

Ordered 'MADAME' and 'SOMETIMES ALWAYS NEVER' from Hoopla before the library reached the limit.

Watched 'MADAME' (Hoopla). A rich Parisian woman has a dinner party of thirteen, so she has the maid pretend to be a guest so that it won't be unlucky. One of the rich guests falls in love with her, but in the end, when he learns the truth, he dumps her. An odd and unexpected ending; with Toni Collette, Harvey Keitel, and Rossy de Palma.

Then watched 'THE MANDELA EFFECT' (Amazon Prime). Not even 80 minutes, but one of the finest 'alternative reality' films I've seen. A couple loses their eight year old daughter in a drowning accident at the beach. The husband is a computer programmer and thinks that he can digitally 'realign' this reality so that his daughter has never died. The Mandela Effect is a thing that most people believe, but was never true. Ex- Looney Tunes is actually Looney Tunes; The Monopoly Man never wore a monocle; It's Jif Peanut Butter, not Jiffy (people are combining Jiffy and Skippy); Cheez-Itz is actually Cheez-it- no plural on the box; It's not 'Mirror Mirror on the Wall,' but 'Magic Mirror on the wall; he actually says, 'It's a wonderful day in THIS neighborhood'; It was a well-written and focused film. 'Alternative' anything tends to get very confusing, but this holds together.

***I wrote the Weekly Wrap and sent it off. Then watched the last 20" of last night's show- 'WORLD'S MOST WANTED-  Felicien Kabuga (Netflix).  

245pm: PC is 'Off'  reading and will walk/jog six miles on the treadmill. 

355pm. SIX MILES ~ An hour and 57 mins. JOE ROGAN with Bert Kreischer. 

In the tub NIGHT SINS and listened to ESSENTIAL VAN MORRISON, THE YOUNG RASCALS, WHITE DENIM ~ 'Performance'. 

***Fierce storms blew through the area. Temps dropped thirty degrees in about thirty minutes. Not a lot of rain, just winds of fifty or sixty miles per hour. 

Watched 'WE SUMMON THE DARKNESS' (Netflix). Three teenage 'Christian' girls are on a murderous killing spree. They make the murders look like the work of a Satanic Cult because they are actually working for the local preacher.  The theory being that the fear of Satanism will make his brand of religion a smash hit with the credulous locals. So over the top almost silly, but well worth a look. 

Then an episode of 'THE BUSINESS OF DRUGS- Opioids' (Netflix). Big Pharma (The Sackler Family) floods the market with Oxy which was originally developed for terminally ill cancer patients, but now sold as a 'miracle drug' for chronic pain. A drug cartel from Mexico brings heroin to the suburbs in the American Midwest because it's cheaper than the prescription drug. Sales reps for Purdue were told to distribute literature about how effective the drug was. The 'magazines' were only promotional material cooked up by the company and not an independent agency.
