Up 7am: Sunny with temps to low 80's- Very cool morning.

***Found out that Hoopla has dropped to seven choices per month when I tried to borrow 'THE HISTORY OF VIOLENCE'.

Added BECK, PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND, JAMES BLOOD ULMER, and THE BLACK CROWES to Mp3.

Watched 'LIFE AND NOTHING MORE' (Kanopy). My post at Kanopy:

"In the style of 'The Kitchen Sink Realism' of early 1960's Britain reapplied to contemporary black Americans at the low end of the economic scale.  A complete absence of easy answers or sanctimonious posturing, yet it's obvious that the film demonstrates that poverty with no way out, is a sure-fire recipe for social and personal disaster."

Then watched 'IN THE AISLES'. A deliberately paced, dead-panned drama about a forklift driver in a big box German store. He's lonely and falls for a married woman and then a friend hangs himself, but he's promoted to do clerical work. His pointless and joyless life continues. Somewhat worth a look.

215pm: Will walk downtown to mail the disc. I didn't even bother to finish the last hour of 'CHARLIE'S ANGELS'. Weekly Cleaning when I return.

305pm...Lawrence, Edwards, state capital, Wabash PO box. South on 5th and 4th, then straight west on the alley north of South Grand. Across the park and up the hill, Parkview and down to 940. 2 HRS 10 MINS. Mp3... 'Midnight Vultures ~ BECK. ' Southern Harmony '~ THE BLACK CROWES, ' Pound For Pound ~ ROYAL TRUX.

In the tub with NIGHT SINS and listening to 'Raising Sand' ~ ALISON KRAUSS and Robert Plant, 'Hejira' ~ JONI Mitchell, 'Money Jungle' ~ DUKE ELLINGTON, CHARLIE MINGUS.

Watched the last 30" of an interview with Anthony Jeselnik by Whitney Cummings...Collar out during the taping of the special, and he's mad that no one mentioned it to him, so after the credits he makes the producers to show a video of him showing that he did left the collar out on purpose...Funny.

Then watched 'MADDMAN: THE STEVE MADDEN STORY' (Netflix). NYC shoe designer-superstar began his company in 1990 with an initial investment of $1,100 and today the business is worth $2 billion. Spent a little time in prison for money laundering or taxes, but the film doesn't go into much detail.
