 Su 8/23/20

Up 630am: Partly sunny with temps to almost 90.

Reading and watching videos about Q ANON.

Watched 'SIMON KILLER (Netflix). A clever and engrossing profile of a psychopath masquerading as a troubled lady's man in Paris; with Brady Corbet. He played one of the fiendish cult members in 'MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE'. I didn't recognize or connect until I read his page at Wikipedia.

Then I watched 'EXHIBITION' (Amazon Prime). Another film by Joanna Hogg, director of 'SOUVENIR'. Two married artists live in a modernist townhouse in the very chic west end of London. He wants to sell, they put it on the market, and she has second thoughts which manifest in some strange behavior. Very much an Art Film, yet strangely captivating and both principal characters are absolutely believable, yet not very likable. Hogg is a master of presenting well-drawn characters that are both understandable and unsavory ; with Viv Albertine of 'The Slits' and modernist artist Liam Gillick.

Then I watched a sixteen minute documentary called 'JOHN WAS TRYING TO CONTACT ALIENS' (Netflix). For decades John has been trying to contact aliens via music transmitted into space from his homemade installation at his and his grandparents rural home in Michigan. He hasn't yet connected with extraterrestrials, but he has met the man of his dreams.

230pm: Will read for a while and then walk to the credit union to deposit the rebate check.

Read DALEY/napped and then did an 'Abbreviated Weekly Cleanup'- vacuumed upstairs and downstairs, and then did most of the dusting afterwards. It took about the same amount of time.

435pm...Parkview, Greenbriar across to the credit union, then west to Koke north... Kinda lost... Across Vets at Old Jack's, Oakmont, Parkview and down to 940...ONE HOUR 50 MINS... Mp3.. MILES DAVIS, THE STREETS, UNCLE TUPELO.

In the tub with DALEY and listening to TOKE, MOUNTAIN WITCH, YOUNG RASCALS.

I watched 'CHRISTINE' (Netflix). Directed by Antonio Campos. He directed MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE and SIMON KILLER. A local female Sarasota, Florida TV news reporter commits suicide on air and the movie gives background about how she came to do it. Very much like a foreign film; with Rebecca Hall, Michael C. Hall, and Tracy Letts. I liked it!

***Did 2 more beers (Five Total) and smoked another bowl before bed to read more 'A FAINT COLD FEAR'...Wasted and much more on weed than brew...
