Up 630am: Sunny with temps to low 80's.
***I had a really bad cramp in my lower left leg. Usually they go away when I stand, but this time it is still very sore; using muscle rub and hope it works (it did).
Watched 'THE RIVER KING' (Amazon Prime). A drowned teenager is found dead in a frozen river and a local cop traces the culprits to the town's private academy. It appears he was killed during an initiation or hazing incident, but when all the facts are examined, it was just a suicide. From a novel by Alice Hoffman and I'm sure that the book was better, but the film was worth a look; with Edward Burns and Jennifer Ehle. Filmed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in the winter.
Then I watched 'FRAILTY' (Amazon Prime). The father of two young boys has a 'heavenly visitation' and is told by an angel to kill demons that appear to be people. It's told from one of the boy's perspectives and he can't reconcile the fact that the father he loves is a murderous madman, but there's an interesting twist at the end of the film; with Bill Paxton (he also directs), Matthew McConaughey, and Powers Boothe..
Brent Hanley, the writer, said of the film's title..."Frailty to me was always about the frailty of perception, the frailty of morality, the frailty of right and wrong".
Then I watched a few YouTube videos about the film and 22" of Bill Paxton's thoughts on some of the scenes in his film.
220pm: Watched over an hour of YouTube stuff about 'FRAILTY'. I liked it more after learning about how it was made. Paxton was a fine director. PC is 'Off' reading and will bike later.
*** First time on 'The Loop'. Lynhaven, Oakmont, Greenview, Fairway. Takes jost about 15". I DID 4 Loops... 505~605pm. Then 3 miles on the treadmill. 3.2 pace, just over 3 miles. Watched 60" of SUNSET LIMITED, a black man saved a white man from throwing himself in front of a train. 2 man play, actors in dress rehearsal, Tommy Lee Jones and Danny Glover did it on HBO.
In the tub with ROBERT DALEY and listening to WAVVES, 'Hotel California' ~ EAGLES, 'Abbey Road' ~ THE BEATLES.
***Involved in a minor 'shouting' match with Dr. Floyd about Biden.
Watched 'Harmontown' (Amazon Prime). Comedian Dan Harmon is dropped from a prime time TV series and goes on the road to tour his 'Harmontown' podcast theme which includes his own 'Dungeons and Dragons Master'. He's the self-proclaimed Pied Piper of misfits and nerds.
