Up 715am: Sunny and unbearably hot- to lower 90's.

Watched 'YOU GO TO MY HEAD' (Kanopy). The film opens with a woman walking away from a bad car accident in the middle of the Sahara Desert. She leaves her male companion in the car. She might not have been aware of him due to her injuries or he might have been dead. She has amnesia and the first person she sees is an older architect and he claims to be her husband. He isn't, but he loves her as if he was. A strange film about love and attraction, filmed entirely in Morocco and the cinematography was beautiful. Winner of numerous international awards.

Then watched 'LANDLINE' (Amazon Prime).  A dramedy about a quirky, 90's, NYC family that grapples with falling in and out of love. The co-writers described the film as a "comedy about a family that grows closer through divorce rather than being torn apart."-with Jenny Slate, Jay Duplass, Abby Quinn, John Turturro, and Edie Falco.

2pm: The plan is to walk to the Dollar Store at Fairhills and pick up vitamin supplements and deodorant. I'll come back and read and then hit the treadmill. It's too hot for a long outdoor walk.  

245pm...As I left I noticed my watch had stopped. Went to Walgreens for a new one and supplements. No watches, but I got iron and calcium. Went to Fairhills County Market, but no watches. Over to the Dollar Store for deodorant and muscle rub. South on Feldcamp and west on Lawrence. ONE HOUR 15 MINS.

Read in the living room, then on the treadmill.

Did 4 MILES in 1 HOUR 19 MINS.  I watched Whitney Cummings interview Dave Grohl and then in another video one of the guys from Metallica interviewed him. 

In the tub with DALEY and THE FLYING BURRITO BROS. ~ 'The RED Album', 'Day of the Dead' ~ various artists do The Grateful Dead with some of the leading 'Alt Bands of the Day' from about five years ago. Very good compilation!

Watched 'BLOOD ORANGE' (Amazon Prime). Iggy Pop plays a dying rock star at his exotic Spanish villa with a young wife who he allows to have casual sex with other men. She's doing the pool boy when a man shows up and demands that she repay him his father's inheritance. She was once married to this guy's father and he thinks that she swindled the old man out of what should have been his. It's all a big scam to find someone to kill the aging rock star so that his young wife can inherit. Film Noish, and only worth a look because Iggy was in it. 

Then watched an episode of 'PATRIOT ACT WITH HASAN MINHAJ- The Legal Marijuana Industry Is Rigged' (Netflix). Because of permits and legal technicalities you can only acquire a marijuana license if you have tens of millions of dollars. Not fair to the small minority growers and does no good at all to the people who were personally harmed (jails, fines, destroyed lives) by The War On Drugs. And only a very few very wealthy firms control the marijuana market for the entire United States.
