We 9/30/20
Began and read about 30 pages of 'METHUSELAH'S CHILDREN'- Robert Heinlein and then got out of bed at 645am. Partly cloudy, breezy with temps to about 70.
I wrote up 'LEGION' by William Peter Blatty for the blog.
The novel became the film 'EXORCIST 3' and it's available on Amazon Prime so it is today's, Morning Movie. Although Blatty wrote the screenplay the ending is radically different from the novel. Kinderman has a 'Full-Blown, Large Handgun, Exorcism Struggle' with the man in the padded cell who claims to be Kinderman's friend, the priest. This exorcism seemed very tacked-on, and according to one of the YouTube video reviews, it was. The bit about the carp living in his bathtub is still in the film and one of the highlights; George C. Scott, Brad Dourif, and a very small role for a very young Kevin Corrigan.
Then I watched 'KILLBIRD' (Amazon Prime). A birdwatcher's car breaks down in very rural Oregon and she finds herself at the mercy of a recluse who believes in conspiracy theories. But, is she a spy or is she only what she claims to be? I expected a much bigger pay-off.
***Got an email from Janny thanking me for the gift card.
***I called Netflix and they will send out the next two discs on my list, but everything is fine on their end. I tried to call the PO and they sent me a link to begin a case, but I haven't got the text.
215pm: Read the Heinlein novel and napped.
...On the treadmill for 5 MILES in about AN HOUR AND 35 MINS. 3.1 pace or higher. Watched part of a WHISKEY GINGER and more of UNCOVERED CRIMES.
In the tub with METHUSELAH'S CHILDREN and listening to MARTIN BARRE, random YOUTUBE political videos, WISHBONE ASH.
Then I watched 'AMERICAN MURDER: THE FAMILY NEXT DOOR (Netflix). A True Crime Drama of 'real time' camera and social media postings tell the story of a man who kills and wife and then murders his two daughters, ages three and four. It felt really real!
Then I watched an episode of 'THE CHEF SHOW' (Netflix). The guys do a little Korean cooking- KIMCHI.
