 Mo 10/12/20

Up 715am: Partly cloudy, at times very windy, with temps dropping from almost 70 to the low sixties by late this evening.

Watched 'AURORA' (Netflix- 3Hrs 5M). A peek into the daily life of a Romanian man on the day that he kills four people. With no explanation as to why he is doing what he is doing, the viewer is plunged into his daily routine. You watch as he goes from apartment, to work, to stores, and commits four brutal murders in between errands. He targets and kills his ex-wife's lawyer and a woman who just happened to be on the scene and both his ex-in laws. He used a shotgun that he had a man create a firing pin. I guess in Romania you buy a weapon and the firing pin is sold separately. Three hours seems a bit long, but you find yourself mystified and very interested in what is going on. I liked it.

I wrote the Weekly Chat and sent it off. Just as I was about to close out I remembered that I hadn't seen the end of '30 DAYS OF NIGHT', so I watched the last thirty minutes. Barrow, Alaska is the setting for this human/vampire bloodfest. Danny Huston makes a superb vampire; with Josh Hartnett and Melissa George.

3pm: The plan is to scrape some pine needles into the back flower beds that I have let go to seed. Maybe it will retard weed growth...or not.

320~420pm...Raked the back third of the backyard and put the pine needles in the beds. Almost looks like a viable plan~ Pine needles as the poor man's mulch.

Then 4 MILES on the treadmill and watched 'OTHER MUSIC', a documentary about New York city's premiere music store for over 2 decades.

In the tub with 'HUMANS' and listening to FIRE HOSE, 'BLACK CANDY' ~ THE BEAST HAPPENING, CORNERSHOP~ 'Elvis Sex~Change'.

***I watched a YouTube interview with Jesse Lee Peterson that I thought was the funniest thing that I had seen in ages. I laughed so hard, I cried....and it wasn't just the weed.

Watched the next episode of 'BAD BOY BILLIONAIRES- India' (Netflix). Nirav Modi, Indian Jeweler and billionaire steals millions from the Bank of India. He inflates the value of his diamonds by phony sales to international shell companies that he owns. So a diamond that he bought for 50 million is now worth 100 million, and he uses this fraudulent increase in wealth as a means of getting more loans. At the end of the doc he was in jail in London, England and fighting extradition to India.
