Su 11/22/20- Pot Shop
Su 11/22/20
Up 730am: Overcast with temps to mid 70's.
***Ordered 2 eighths of 'CRESCO SLURRICRASHER- 3.5G'. Pickup at 920-940am. The pot shop has changed hands and now is 'Ascend Cannabis Dispensary'. Left for the pot shop at 905am. The girl that sold the pot told me that a friend of hers got this strain and said it was so good that he couldn't share it with her.
Went to Ace on Walnut and got two replacement bulbs for the lights above the stove.
Then to The Dollar Store at Fairhills and got a plastic storage container for the pot, a new kitchen mat, two scented candles, vitamins, and a new red cutting board.
Stopped at the gas station on Durkin for another 30 pk. of Keystone Ice.
Smoked a bong and watched 'DUNSMORE' (Amazon Prime). In the opening scenes of the film, a man is gunned down outside of a small southern bar. The story backtracks to reveal, 'The How, Who, And Why'. He was hated by everyone in town for his arrogance and cruelty, but when he killed the local preacher, the town decisively orchestrated his execution. Not a bad film that tries to address 'Small Town Southern Values and Attitudes' in a contemporary manner. W. Earl Brown, who plays the lead in 'DUNSMORE' starred in a television biography about the rock singer, Meat Loaf.
105pm: FOUR MILES ON THE TREADMILL. Watched DONNELL RAWLINGS on The Joe Rogan Experience.
Did the Weekly Cleaning and then watched the last two episodes of 'MISSING' (Amazon Prime). CONCLUSION: Ollie saw a fox when he was with his father at the swimming pool bar. He followed the fox out into the road and was hit by the owner of their hotel. This man was driving drunk and convinced his brother, the mayor, to help coverup the crime. The mayor called a Romanian thug who noticed that the kid was still alive, so he slit his throat. The body was never found. In the final scene Ollie's father is in Russia and convinced that a teenage boy is really his son, Ollie. Dad has not been able to move on with his life.
545pm: TWO MORE MILES ON THE Treadmill. Watched more of RAWLINGS on ROGAN.
In the tub with KOONTZ and listening to THE TALKING HEADS, BYRNE & ENO~ 'Everything That Happens...'.
Watched 'BAND VS. BRAND' (Amazon Prime). A documentary about 'The Music Business' with a very heavy emphasis on 'The Business'. Bands past their prime can reform and make much more money on tee shirts and merchandize than they did when they were 'stars'. The problem is that no one agrees on who owns the legitimate right to use the 'name or the brand'. An interesting side bar about bands in the not too distant future will be able to back a hologram of a lead singer who is dead. Holographic images of the future might allow you to project a three dimensional version of 'Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars' in your bedroom- just as the concert occurred in the early 70's. As the credits roll, the film mentions the beer and wine products that have been developed and marketed by bands. All of these guys don't seem to be motivated by 'Art', but more concerned about earning a living in the music. industry.
