Up 820am: Cloudy with a slight chance of rain by this afternoon- upper 40's.
***Yesterday after eating the 'morning rice' there seemed to be a grain of rice lodged in my throat. Strange. I still feel it today, but now feels more like a sore throat.
Last night I noticed that Amazon Prime will drop 'THE DEPARTED' at the end of the month, so it's first up to watch this morning. This was the remake of the Asian film, 'INFERNAL AFFAIRS'. This is another terrific Mob/Cop Film from Martin Scorsese, and he claims that he never watched the Hong Kong film before he made this remake. FUN FACT: Brad Pitt was an executive producer. The mob has a mole on the inside of the Boston police department and the cops have a man on the inside of the South Boston criminal organization; with Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga, Alec Baldwin, and Kevin Corrigan. Won 4 Oscars, another 94 wins & 140 nominations...A very funny insult of the fire department and firemen in general..."bunch of homos. First time in the history of the fire department and the world that these guys get any pussy"...period jokes cranberry juice..."Marriage is an important part of getting ahead- most people won't think you're a homo. you're more stable and women think that you must have some cash and your cock still works..."- ALEC BALDWIN..."I got this rat" (Jack Nicholson's facial expressions)...
130: ON THE TREADMILL- 4 Miles and watched the end of Marc Maron's conversation with Sean Lennon and began a Whitney Cummings podcast.
I did the Weekly Cleaning and then watched ' 'THE MEYEROWITZ STORIES' (Netflix). Dad's an over-the-hill NYC artist and completely oblivious to the emotional turbulence that he's been generating for decades. All of his immediate family seems driven by rage and confusion, yet Dad does nothing to calm the violent seas and some of these awkward encounters were hilarious; with Adam Sandler, Grace Van Patten, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, and Judd Hirsch.
Late to the tub with more 'EMPIRE FALLS' and listening to RICHARD THOMPSON Live, THE DEL LORDS 'Elvis Club'.
(Hard to commit to one thing because I was rather ripped) I watched the first 30" of 'BREAK IT ALL: The History of Rock in Latin America' (Netflix). Then, the next episode of 'THE WILDS' (Amazon Prime). A strange series and after two episodes you have no idea why the girls are on the island, who is doing it, or why.
