Fr 1/29/21- 3226 Read Oak Lane

920am.325pm.9pm.

Up 7am and read about the new home on 3226 Red Oak Lane; Zillow $158,000- Auction Price $142,000. Partly sunny with temps to mid 30's.

***I hate this Casio watch. Spent an inordinate (and soul destroying) time trying to get the 'Date' back on the goddamn watch.

Watched 'SHRINK' (Amazon Prime). Several storylines revolving around a shrink who is 'self-medicating' with marijuana to deal with his wife's suicide. The film pushes the narrative that people who smoke weed are just avoiding their problems. There are no positives to getting high, just 'deal with it' and 'move the fuck on'.

Salon- "Shrink offers a roster of wonderfully eccentric characterizations, shoehorned into a dramatic structure that's just a little too formulaic."

"...flashy, phony, nakedly melodramatic, and full of big actorly moments disconnected from real life." Considering all of the negatives, it was still a fun movie.

12pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles and watched True Crime (a woman kills an ex lover and hides him in the well),  the final episode of 'PRETEND IT'S A CITY',  and more of Joe Rogan's interview with Dr. Carl Hart.

Read 'THE LAWS OF OUR FATHERS' and then watched 'DOWN TERRACE' (Pluto). A dark satire about the collapse of  a low level Brighton crime family. Dad and son have just finished a four month jail sentence and they are trying to find out who ratted them out. And soon the bodies begin to pile up. Low budget, yet well written; with Robert and Robin Hill who are father and son in real life.

540pm: ON THE TREADMILL...watched part of an FBI FILES and part of HOW NEAL FEEL.

In the tub with TUROW and listening to 'Squeeze- The Velvet Underground', CHARLIE CHRISTIAN, Mott THE HOOPLE.

Watched 'INFINITY BABY' (Amazon Prime). Very funny, yet extremely strange. Infants sold that never age- "A baby forever"! A witty and side-splitting snide satire on relationships and parenthood. I really liked it; with Kieran Culkin, Nick Offerman, and Kevin Corrigan.

Then I began 'ZERO ZERO ZERO' (Amazon Prime). This is a series that I had begun a while a go and only watched episode 1, and tonight I saw episode 2 and I'm ready to see the whole thing through to the end. It's extremely well done.
