915am. 225pm. 905pm.
Up 745am: Partly cloudy with temp to about freezing.
I dragged the pine branches that fell last week over to the three 'gone to seed' flower beds in the back. One branch had come straight down and was embedded about eight inches into the ground. I didn't know that was possible.
Watched the first episode of 'BRIDGERTON' (Netflix). "Put down the book. It will confuse your thoughts". A soapy romance genre satire of the British aristocracy in 1813. Some of the 'royalty' are black and makes race a factor in how these characters are perceived. Clever presentation, but it's basically a romance novel adaptation for the screen.
Then I watched the first episode of 'PRETEND IT'S A CITY' (Netflix). "No one can possibly afford to live in New York City, yet 8 million people do"...An apple and a pack of cigarettes left on the dashboard and someone broke the windshield to steal them- well, what do you expect...of course, someone would do that.
Then the rest of an episode of 'THE MISSING' (Amazon Prime) that I began last night.
1210pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles...Watched another episode of 'THE MISSING' and more of the JOE ROGAN interview with LAWRENCE WRIGHT.
A few hits and then watched 'TERMINAL' that I borrowed from Hoopla yesterday. Another odd, noirish, and dark film about a female hitwoman who agrees to take out two of her competitors in return for all of the action. 'She' is actually twins and they are behind a plot to kill their father for burning down their apartment and killing their mother. And, they also kill a former teacher who sexually abused them at the orphanage. The story is positively nutty, but it did have a kind of psychedelic and feverish dream-like feel; with Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg, and Mike Myers.
ON the treadmill... 3 MILES... Watched another episode of 'Pretend It's A City (Netflix) and more ROGAN/WRIGHT.
In the tub with' THE LAST MILE' and listening to DUKE ELLINGTON, CHICK COREA.
Watched 'WOLF HEAD' (Amazon Prime). Extremely low budget Independent comedy about two brothers who try to become con-men and/or criminals. It was like somebody taped a community college creative film project using a smart phone. "Does hanging a fake bull's scrotum on a gun make it more manly?"
