Watched 'PIECES OF A WOMAN' (Netflix). A darkly moody and personal film about a couple that loses their baby during a home birthing. The midwife is held responsible, prosecuted by the authorities, and attacked by the media, but the mother has a change of heart; Vanessa Kirby, Shia LaBeouf, Molly Parker, and Ellen Burstyn. The story is set in Boston, Massachusetts, but filmed almost entirely near Montreal, Canada.

Read 'THE LAST MILE' in the living room, then watched 'SQUARE GROUPER' (Kanopy). A low budget documentary about three marijuana smuggling operations located in South Florida during the late 70's. 'The Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church of Miami Beach'- Pot is not a drug, it's an sacramental  herb...'The Black Tuna Gang'- A few friends take a business-like approach to pot smuggling...The entire town of Everglades City, Florida is involved in the pot smuggling because the feds prevented them from fishing the Everglades. The title refers to bales of pot thrown off of boats being pursued by the authorities.

Watched the next episode of 'SANPA: SINS OF THE SAVIOR' (Netflix). More about the Italian megalomaniac who ran a very controversial drug rehab program in the 80's'; Rimini, Italy.

Then another teensy bud and watched 'PRETEND IT'S A CITY' (Netflix). Very funny.

And finally another episode of 'THE HILLS- Season 6' (Amazon Prime).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
