 Su 1/3/2021- Snow! Power Outage

Up 730am: A couple inches of wet, heavy snow fell last night. Snow hanging on the ice on the pine trees out back will probably cause more branches to fall. Partly sunny with temps only to about freezing. At sundown all of the trees are still covered in snow and ice. Streets are clear and only wet.

***830am. and Hoopla is 'over the limit'!

Watched 'THE EXTRA MAN' (Kanopy).  An odd subject makes for an odder film. A washed-up playwright living in lower Manhattan earns his livelihood currying favor to geriatric debutantes. He takes a naïve and aspiring writer as a roommate and tries to show him the ropes; with Kevin Kline, John C. Reilly, Katie Holmes, and Paul Dano. Features 'DANDY IN THE UNDERWORLD' performed by Marc Bolan and T-Rex during the end credits.

1145am: ON THE TREAD...4 Miles...  and watched the last episode of 'THE QUEEN'S GAMBIT' (Netflix). Then, I did the Weekly Cleaning.

Spent time cleaning out my queue at Amazon Prime. Many of the films that were on 'My Watchlist' are 'no longer available in your area'.

***Just as I came up from downstairs (rather ripped) the power must have flickered. The PC went out and I thought I'd lost the router and TECH2DOOR would definitely be in my future. I finally got it back once I had the computer check for the settings. I am still shaking! It might be weather related because of the snow and ice on the power lines. Later I saw that the electric bedroom clock and the living room Bose radio registered the outage, but not the microwave /oven. 

Watched 'A SECOND CHANCE' (Amazon Prime). Another strange film. When a cop's infant son dies of apparent crib death, he substitutes the dead baby for a baby that belonged to a couple of junkies. Nobody notices the switch, but later the cop's wife jumps off a bridge and then he learns that she was the cause of his son's death- 'Shaken Baby Syndrome'. He gets canned from the police, then works at a big box store, and a few years later meets the boy and his mother. They're doing fine, so I guess all's right with the world; a Danish film that stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau ('GAME OF THRONES', 'THE SHOT CALLER').

Read for a while and then ON THE TREADMILL... 2 Miles... and listened to JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE ~ TONY HINCHCLIFFE.

In the tub with RUSSO and listening to 'Bourbonitis Blues' ~ ALEJANDRO ESCOVEDO, JOHN DOE AND THE SADIES, ART BLAKEY~ 'Drums Around The Corner'. 

Watched 'DOUBLE IDENTITY' (Amazon Prime). Set in early 90's Bulgaria where an American doctor meets a femme fatale and gets involved in a multimillion dollar diamond scheme. The plot made almost no sense and only worth a look if you like Val Kilmer, yet his blonde co-star, Izabella Miko, upstaged him in every shared scene; with Val Kilmer and Izabella Miko.
