850am.310pm.850pm.
Up 745am: Cloudy with intermittent showers and wet snow begins late tonight- 40's.
Watched 'KENSHO AT THE BEDFELLOW' (Amazon Prime). An aspiring playwright works at the Bedfellow Hotel in NYC and leads a chaotic life. A complete lifestyle change is needed, but is he up for the challenge? Brad Raider wrote, directed, and starred. Slightly uneven, but hits more than it misses- 'A' For Effort. Winner of numerous awards and a popular film festival entry. 'Kensho' is a Japanese term from the Zen tradition meaning 'nature, essence' or 'the Buddha-nature or nature of mind'.
12pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles...Watched JOE ROGAN discuss America's Covid policies with ALEX BERENSON. He's not a kook or a conspiracy buff, but I don't agree with a lot of what he has to say. Why would the overwhelming majority of the world's medical community be 'For' the use of masks if it weren't true? Ventilators were in short supply because they eliminated the 'viral load' phenomenon and they wanted to keep the medics from catching the virus. The virus creates more deaths among older people and the vaccine has more side effects with younger people. He was a reporter for The New York Times and wrote spy novels and he also has non-fiction about the dangers of marihuana (universally panned by experts in the marihuana field (no pun...).
***Washed the kitchen floor and I am 100% ready for the delivery of the new dinette set tomorrow between 4pm and 6pm. Furniture Row has called, left word, sent a text, and an email.
A few rips and watched 'THE STAND AT PAXTON COUNTY' (Netflix). A North Dakota law called 'Article 23' allows the county health department to declare a rancher's horses neglected. Then, they take the horses and sell them off and keep the profit. The movie is supposedly based on 'Real Events', however this seems a bit sketchy but apparently there is such a law. Only a notch better than a Lifetime movie. No stars.
530pm: ON THE TREADMILL...more JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE with Alex Berenson.
In the tub with BALDACCI and listening to THE LONG RYDERS, WILL KIMBROUGH, BLOODKIN (a great new band, and I must get more by these guys).
Watched 'CRACK: COCAINE,CORRUPTION, & CONSPIRACY (Netflix). The CIA allowed crack to be smuggled into Los Angeles during the Iran-Contra affair and this ridiculous (and illegal!) government policy was an important factor in the addiction crisis. 5 grams of rock was the same sentence as 500 grams of powder; whites use the powder and blacks used the rock. "The War on Drugs has cost the US nearly 1 trillion dollars, and the prison population has exploded from around 3000,000 in 1980 to more than 2 million today".
