 Th 1/21/21

845am.355pm.9pm.

Up 730am: Bright and sunny with temps to 50.

Watched 'MISCONDUCT' (Hoopla- Also borrowed 'ICEMAN'). 'B Movie' hijinks about a married rookie lawyer who sees an ex-lover and she uses him to become ensnared in a multimillion dollar pharmaceutical lawsuit. This got scathing reviews, but I kind of liked it. The 'scene chewing' was so over-the-top that you could overlook the corniness; with Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman (BILLIONS), Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, and Julia Stiles.

Then I watched the last episode of ''SANPA- Sins Of The Savior' (Netflix). Vincenzo Muccioli died of cancer (or possibly AIDS) yet his legacy is forever tainted. Was the rehab facility at San Patrignano (SanPa) based on a culture of violence and the false belief that a person can overcome an addiction by the threat of a beating?

I called Brewer for another gel-pen and it will be ready for pickup after 2pm this afternoon.

1320pm: Walked to Washington Park, Park St. north to Monroe, stopped at the Dollar Store for incense, cat food, and a couple of black placemats for the new dinette set. Then along Monroe and back adjacent to 900 Durkin to Brewer for the new gel-pen. Back Old Jack, Oakmont, Parkview, and down to 940; $13 at The Dollar Store and $12 at Brewer... 2 HOURS... Mp3~ NPR 91.9FM.

Home to watch 'IN THE TALL GRASS' (Netflix).

I watched this one because one of the guests on 'Getting Doug With High' mentioned that she watched this film on Netflix and liked it. I agree!

A semi-spooky Horror Thriller about a Kansas cornfield that's a door to an evil dimension- maybe an alien crashed thousands of years ago and left a portal?  People enter the field when they hear cries for help, but these cries might be from the future or the past.

I didn't find out until the credits rolled that it was written by Stephen King and Joe Hill; Directed by Vincenzo Natali.

610pm: ON THE TREADMILL...ONE MILE... More of ROGAN /SCHULZ.

In the tub with RICHARD POWERS and listening to EDDIE HENDERSON, 'Congo Square' ~ Jazz At Lincoln Center.

***Placed an order for $195 at the pot shop while in the tub. Pickup tomorrow 920am.

Then I watched 'ICEMAN' (Hoopla). The setting is beautiful- Alpine Valleys and Peaks...Almost no dialog, and what is spoken is in a possible language from 3,000 BC.

From Hoopla about the film:

"The Ötztal Alps, more than 5300 years ago. A Neolithic clan has settled nearby a creek. It is their leader Kelab's responsibility to be the keeper of the group's holy shrine Tineka. While Kelab is hunting, the settlement is attacked. The members of the tribe are brutally murdered, amongst them Kelab's wife and son, but although his newborn survives, he is missing. Blinded by pain and fury, Kelab is out for one thing alone – vengeance."

And then the next episode of 'EMPIRE BLING' (Netflix). One of the chic Chinese couples has a baby and they've been together for five years without getting married. Mom says it's time for the vows. And, a penis pump is found in the ugly matriarch's shower.
