Up 8am: Cloudy, breezy and temps to just about freezing.
Watching news videos of the attempted coup that occurred yesterday in DC....Then, 'Bong Maintenance'...
And then watched 'ZERO DAYS' (Kanopy). 'Zero Day' means that there is no existing counterattack to the malware and the infected users do not have to do anything to allow it to enter their system like downloading a file or opening an email. 'Air Gap' is a computer system that is not connected to the Internet such as what might be used at a power plant or a transportation network. This setup was believed to keep the system free from Internet attacks, however these systems can be bridged.
'Stuxnet' is malware developed by the US and Israel to disrupt Iranian nuclear facilities. It was untraceable code until the Israelis changed the program and launched an attack. This did little damage to the Iranian facilities, but vastly increased their will to get nuclear weapons. The film's message is that cyber weapons are very real and can be just as damaging as nuclear weapons, but presently there are no treaties that offer any kind of controls. The entire subject is treated as 'Top Secret' so there can be no discussion even in congress.
1pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles...and watched episode #7 of 'THE WILDS' (Amazon Prime). This episode reveals that the girls on the island are a plan to allow women to work together and achieve power. The female head of the project wants this to prove that the levers of power should now be turned over to women. A crazy premise, but there's three more episodes to go.
Then an episode of THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE on Spotify with comedian Tim Dillon and Kyle Kulinski, a political activist and news commentator.
Then I watched 'TOM OF YOUR LIFE' (Amazon Prime). A young nurse kidnaps a four year old boy from the hospital. The boy ages four years for every hour. Conflicting storylines; the aging of the 'boy' and the nurse is suffering through a breakup after a miscarriage. Surprisingly dull; with Baize Buzan, James Sharpe, and Jeremy Sklar- he directs and also plays 'Tom' from ages 32-104.
515pm: On The Treadmill... 2 MILES and watched more of ROGAN/DILLON/KULINSKI on election night 2020.
In the tub with 'EMPIRE OF THE SUMMER MOON' and listening to GRANT GREEN, DOUG SAHM & THE PHARAOHS.
***I bought 'A PEOPLE'S HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES by Howard Zinn for my Kindle collection.
Watched 'KURT COBAIN- About A Son' (Amazon Prime). A series of spliced together interviews with Curt Cobain overlaid with an ambitiously captivating video collage of Aberdeen, Olympia, and the people and local culture of Washington State. He is answering questions and positing theories, but it's so random that it's almost like Cobain's personal diary entries; somewhat mesmerizing.
