We 1/13/21- County Market: $81
We 1/13/21
845am.305pm.905pm.
Up 730am: Partly sunny, breezy and temps to the upper 40's. Bad weather is coming and up to three inches of snow is predicted by Saturday.
***Updates are pending on the living room PC and I was able to get the downstairs PC updated and it required a restart. Why is this such a goddamn hassle every month?
Watched Netflix disc 'THE PROFESSOR'. An odd film about a college professor who learns that he has only six months to live. He drinks, smokes weed, ingests pot brownies, and has sex with a few women and one male student...and then he takes the family dog and leaves. This could have been so much better; with Johnny Depp, Rosemarie Dewitt, Odessa Young Danny Huston, Zoey Deutch, and Ron Livingston.
Then watched the next episode of 'THE MISSING' (Amazon Prime).

ON THE TREADMILL...
*Set the PC to download Windows Updates on the living room machine while I was on the treadmill.
2pm: To Fairhills/County Market before this weekend's storm; $81.00.
A few rips and watched 'REDEMPTION' (Amazon Prime). Another oddball film and I really didn't get it, but there were some incredibly violent and sadistic fight sequences. The anti-hero is on the streets of London getting loaded because the army made him into a killing machine and the drugs and alcohol prevent him from his acquired murderous instincts. Although he seems to be nothing more than a violent sociopath, he becomes attracted to a Catholic nun and tries to become a 'better man' which is silly to the point of absurdity.
Here's what The New York Times had to say: "Its narrative continuity is so sketchy and the screenplay so haphazard that the movie doesn’t add up to more than trash, seasoned with pretentious religiosity"; with Jason Statham and Agata Buzek.
530pm: ON THE TREADMILL... 2 Miles... and watched Professor Snyder talk about his book on American tyranny in 2017 (YouTube).
In the tub with Baldacci and listening to YO LA TENGO, ARCHERS OF LOAF, SEBADOH.
Watched 'DEAD END' (IMDB-TV). Like a wittier and grosser Twilight Zone episode. A family gets trapped on a bloody 'road to Hell' and it's Christmas Eve. I guess 'the road' was an afterlife since dad went to sleep at the wheel and they were all killed in a head on collision. And the ghoulish Mom and her baby died in the other vehicle. Not bad; with Lin Shaye, 'The Godmother' of creepy horror.
