Up 740am: Partly sunny, breezy with temps to about 50.

Watched 'THE TOWN' (Amazon Prime- leaving on March 1st). More bank robbers and armored car thieves come from Charlestown, Boston than anywhere else in the world.  The story of a crew who takes a female hostage during a bank robbery and one of the gang falls in love with her. The movie leads up to the robbery of Fenway Park after a sold out baseball game; with Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Titus Welliver, Pete Postlethwaite, Chris Cooper, and Blake Lively (THE RHYTHM SECTION)... "60,000 beers sold".  "Trying to make it sound 'au-then-tish-ish'."

1240pm: Finished the film on the treadmill and to get in the miles before I take off for the appointment. More of the WU TANG CLAN bio {Amazon Prime}... 4 MILES at 3.5 pace.

130pm: at Memorial on N. Dirksen. The nurse cleaned both ears and there was a degree of discomfort especially the left ear. She dug out an awful amount of debris from both ears. I drove to 19th and talked to Janny and Joe for about ten minutes before they had to leave for the closing. I said that I would come over to help and see the new place tomorrow. It's all starting at 9am, but I said I wouldn't be there quite that early.  I know what will happen. I will show up just as they break for lunch. I would almost bet on it.

***I drove downtown to check on the parking in front of the pot shop. A water main broke during the cold snap and the entire street is closed to traffic. I wonder how long that this will continue.

***I stopped at the County Market on Chatham and got the recommended ear cleaner (DEBROX), a cabbage, several bags of frozen vegetables, and a carton of cottage cheese.

Home to read 'WINTER' for a bit and then watched 'NO ESCAPE ROOM' (Netflix). Father and daughter have engine problems and stop at a rural town and visit the local 'escape room' house. The 'clues' were so outrageous and I don't think anyone could have figured them out. "Shine reflected light from a mirror at a swiftly revolving fan and what is written will be revealed". Nobody in a million years would have come up with that guess. Corny nonsense, but the ending was somewhat interesting. Even though they make it to their car in the diner parking lot, they find that they need another key. 

645pm: ON THE TREADMILL...2 Miles and finished TIM DILLON on The Joe Rogan Experience. 

In the tub with 'WINTER'- Len Deighton and listening to CHARLIE HADEN and KEITH JARRETT, TORD GUSTAVASSON. I also used the new 'wax removal kit' and was not that pleased. I guess it made a slight difference, but maybe it takes a few sessions to feel a noticeable change; 10pm-  after I was out of the tub for an hour or so and my ear canals dried, I think it DID make a positive difference.  

Watched the premiere and part of the next episode of 'UTOPIA' (Amazon Prime). Created by Gillian Flynn (GONE GIRL). This series is very different and reminds me of Q-Anon very much.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80".
