925am.305pm.930pm.
Up 8am: Overcast with temps only to 30, but this will be the warmest day in a week. Highs will only be in the teens for the next few days.
Watched 'W.E.'. My first use of the website 'Reelgood'. An odd exploration of the romantic relationship between the King of England and Wallis Simpson, a twice divorced American. The king's decision to renounce the throne during the 1930's in order to marry the woman he loved is superimposed over the story of an unhappily married woman living an upper class life in contemporary Manhattan and her obsession with the lives of the king and his lover. Directed by Madonna; with Abbie Cornish, Andrea Riseborough (ZERO ZERO ZERO), James D'Arcy, and Oscar Isaac.
1230pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles and watched ANNIE LEDERMAN on WHITNEY CUMMINGS podcast and then more of ROGAN/PAPPAS.
READ 'TALK TALK' in the living room. Then I watched 'RUMBLESTRIPS' (Amazon Prime). A woman and her two daughters take off across the western United States in their camping RV. Mom goes to prison for two to ten years in two weeks for selling marijuana and this will be their last time together. A quirky, yet serious female perspective in theme and tone. X-Ray Trivia at Amazon Prime: "Rumblestrips was written, shot, produced, directed, edited, scored and edited entirely by the Adams/Poser family of four during their year on the road."
Not bad; with John Adams, Lulu Adams, and Zelda Adams.
Then I watched the next two episodes of 'THE HILLS' (Amazon Prime).
6pm: ON THE TREADMILL...2 Miles and watched a WHITNEY CUMMINGS and JOEY DIAZ podcast.
In the tub with TC BOYLE and listening to NRBQ, 'LA WOMAN' ~ The Doors. 'ELECTRIC LADYLAND' - Hendrix.
Began 'ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST' (Pluto). The classic 1968 cowboy opera of the American West; with Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, and Charles Bronson. I watched 1'20" on Pluto.
