Up 720am: Overcast and frigid. It looks like it could snow a foot, but only flurries in the forecast- low teens for the high today.

Buddy is more upbeat today!

Watched the rest of Netflix disc 'IT-2'. This film is more than a sequel and the entire 'IT' is really a five hour mini-series and it might have worked better in that format. Great CGI and the storyline was pure Steven King. He plays the proprietor of a second hand store in Derry, Maine; with  Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, and James Ransone. Filmed in Port Hope, Ontario and Oshawa, Ontario.

1230pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles; 3.2 pace. Listened to music podcasts on Spotify~ Kid Cudi, Minnie Ripperton, Fanny.

410pm: Watched an hour and a half of Netflix disc 'BOYHOOD'.

610pm: ON THE TREADMILL...2 Miles and watched 'FBI FILES' ~ Trucker rapes and murders a young girl in Maine and drops the body in rural Pennsylvania.

In the tub with JONG and listening to KID CUDI, GYM CLASS HEROES. I think this is the first time that I've gotten into contemporary Hip Hop and I've got to compile a Playlist of this good stuff.

Watched the last hour or so of 'BOYHOOD'. Richard Linklater's painstaking, yet very engaging profile of a boy growing up in suburban Texas at the end of the 20th century; with Ellar Coltrane, Patricia Arquette, and Ethan Hawke. The film won 1 Oscar and another 173 wins & 217 nominations.

And then watched some 'FLORIBAMA SHORE' (Pluto/MTV). More top-drawer, reality Junk TV.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale.
