850 am.410 pm.930 pm.
Up 740 am: Overcast with temps to the mid teens and flurries with little or no accumulation.
Watched 'SYNCHRONIC' (Hoopla). Two New Orleans paramedics stumble upon a new synthetic drug that allows users to travel back in time, but where you land in the past depends on where you are when the drug kicks in. The details of the process were hazy and the premise was far fetched, but not too bad overall. Filmed in New Orleans; with Anthony Mackie and Jamie Doran. I had always thought that overdoses on 'bath salts' were caused by people thinking that this was a side effect of taking a bathroom product. Actually, chemists develop drugs that are very close to popular illegal drugs and then these drugs are marketed as 'bath salts' and can be sold over the counter and evade drug laws.
Watched part of an episode of 'THE DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS' (Pluto).
12 pm: ON THE TREADMILL...4 Miles at 3.4 pace and listened to 'THE CLOWN AND THE CANDYMAN' podcast on Spotify and began a podcast interview with Tim Dillon.
***Received a text from Republic that was very confusing. Will they pickup tomorrow or not?
Read/ napped with '1876' and 90.9 FM.
410 pm: Watched 'NANCY' (Amazon Prime). A brilliant performance by Riseborough about a very disturbed young woman who fakes a pregnancy to be close to a man that she met online and then she visits a couple who are still mourning the loss of their daughter who disappeared decades before. This strange young woman claims that she might be their child; with Andrea Riseborough (ZERO ZERO ZERO), Steve Buscemi, Ann Dowd, and John Leguizamo.
ON THE TREADMILL. .. 2 Miles at 3.4 pace and more of TIM DILLON.
In the tub with '1876' and listening to KING JAMES & THE SPECIAL MEN, BUMMERS, THE MAYTAGS. When I went downstairs I listened to part of an podcast interview with Jimmy Horn of KING JAMES & THE SPECIAL MEN on NPR. These cuts sound much more like a New Orleans band than the album, but both musical directions are worthy of a deep dive.
Began 'CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR' (Amazon Prime). It's crazy even to consider that this might be the way that foreign policy is implemented. I left the final 30" for tomorrow morning; with Tom Hanks, Amy Adams, Julia Roberts, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Emily Blunt.
