Up 730am: Bright and sunny with temps to 50.

I wrote up 'THE WATERWORKS' and '3 SECONDS' for the blog. I added two cds by Art Blakey to the mp3 player. While I was writing, Ellison's office called and said I don't need the iron supplement although it's still low. And, I corrected my medical record to show that I did have the second shot of the shingles vaccine.

Watched 'GLADIATOR' (Amazon Prime). Directed by Ridley Scott. Set in 180 AD where one quarter of the world's population lived under Roman rule. "People should know when they're conquered". "At My Signal Unleash Hell". Not a bad film, but not great. I stopped the film with 35" left because I wanted to take a long walk.

***During the film I made an appointment to have the headlight repaired at Hyundai on Monday, 3/29 at 230pm. It should take 2 hours, but I'm not sure if I'll take their shuttle back home to wait.

105 pm: Parkview, Wash.Pk. northside, Holmes, Outer Park, Wiggins, up the hill in the park, Parkview, and down to 940.... TWO HOURS... Mp3... ART BLAKEY AND THE JAZZ MESSENGERS, CREAM.

625 pm... ON THE TREADMILL... 1 AND A HALF MILES at 3.4 pace and watched BILL BURR on WHITNEY CUMMINGS podcast.

In the tub with THE INNOCENT and listening to THE TRONGONE BAND, THE JIM SUHLER & MONKEY BEATS.

Watched 'THE LAST BLOCKBUSTER' (Netflix).***In the early 80's studios wanted to sell films for a hundred bucks a tape. Entrepreneurs said we'll buy them, and then rent them out. This went to the supreme court and they ruled against the studios.

 I had forgotten how much the local video store played in my life during the 80's and 90's. I HADN'T THOUGHT OF THIS IN DECADES: You'd have several films that were due back on different days and different times and the clerk would tell you this at checkout. And, you would think, 'I'll never remember all that', and the clerk says, 'It's all on the receipt'. Then why even bring it up...but they did, every time you rented. I can't remember the 'No Late Fees'. This was such an integral part of my life for so many years...Don't forget to return the videos and...BE KIND, REWIND.
