Fr 3/5/21- County Market: $106.00

 Fr 3/5/21

915am. 445pm. 955pm.

Up 8am: Another bright and sunny day with temps of about 50'.

Torn between watching a movie and hitting County Market for grocery shopping, but 'The Morning Movie' won the debate. There shouldn't be many shoppers early this afternoon.

Watched 'THE SIGNAL' (Netflix). A hacker called 'NOMAD' has invaded a university's computer system and a trio of computer geeks working for the system track 'NOMAD' to Area 51 in the Nevada desert. But 'NOMAD' is really 'DAMON' which is possibly an extraterrestrial or intergalactic corporate entity that has begun a colony near Earth...I guess. It had me guessing the whole film, but the ending was just a bit less than satisfying; with Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cooke, Beau Knapp, Laurence Fishburne, and Lin Shaye. Filmed in New Mexico and some nice scenic views at The Taos Gorge Bridge.

Noonish: ON THE TREADMILL... 4 AND 1/4 MILES at 3.4 pace... Watched more THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE, part of a YouTube video of Live BAD COMPANY, and the last episode of 'MURDER AMONG THE MORMONS'.

130pm: to County Market :$106. 00.

Reading 'WINTER' in the living room and then around 445pm. I watched 'UP ON THE GLASS' (Amazon Prime). The film was made and then released to be shown at The Buffalo Film Festival. Jack is jealous of Andy's life and wife. On a 'guys weekend' Jack accidently murders Andy and buries the body. This allows him to get closer to Andy's wife, Liz, but things don't go his way. A deft noir-ish touch except for the bad ending.

645pm: ON THE TREADMILL...2 Miles and watched ROGAN with HAMILTON MORRIS.

In the tub with 'WINTER' and listening to THE DAVE BRUBECK QUARTET, YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN ~ 60's Boston Psychedelic.

Watched 'POINT BLANK' (Amazon Prime). A very crude, crazy, yet on the money 'B- Movie' with Mickey Rourke and Danny Trejo in their prime.  Rourke is actually 'ripped and roided' (his body is ripped, not ripped on weed, but probably both) for this film. The ridiculous plot begins after a bus load of prisoners are are free after a violent gunfight and then the cons decide to takeover a mall and hold the shoppers hostage. Corny soundtrack and hysterical dialog... A guy asks to smoke a joint after being shot and as he dies not only does Rourke produce some weed, but he also declares his love for the dying guy.

Shot in Fort Worth, Texas..." La Gran Plaza de Fort Worth is a Hispanic-themed shopping mall in Fort Worth, Texas. Opened in 1962 as Seminary South and later known as Fort Worth Town Center, it was reinvented as a center catering to largely Hispanic clientele after losing most of its major stores.".
