Su 3/14/21- Visit to Red Oak-2pm.

920am. 920pm...not a typo, but a very long day.

Up 820am: (New Time) Overcast with temps to mid 50's.

Watched Netflix disc 'SORCERER'.  Grim Realism. Music by Tangerine Dream. From the French film, 'Wages Of Fear'. Four different storylines over the course of the first hour DO NOT blend plausibly, yet at the halfway point it all begins to gel; with        .

Noon: PC is 'Off' and will get in mileage on the treadmill before the trip to Read Oak.

4 1/4 Miles and watched ADAM CAROLLA on 'Whiskey Ginger' and more HOW NEAL Feel.

135pm left for Red Oak: 2pm~630pm. A beautiful home and they liked the garden lights that I bought as a housewarming gift. On the way home I stopped at the Monroe PO to mail back the Netflix discs.

***Skipped Weekly Cleaning today.

In the tub with DOCTOROW and listening to CANNONBALL ADDERLY and MILT JACKSON.

Watched 'I SMILED BACK' (Crackle). An inordinate amount of time trying to get this to play. It wouldn't play on Crackle, but worked perfectly on Plex. Why?

Sarah Silverman in a role that I would never have imagined and proves that she is a fantastic dramatic actor. This role has nothing to do with her podcast or her standup comedy. The film is about a woman with mental problems and cross addicted to alcohol and drugs who desperately attempts to be a 'normal' wife and mother in upscale suburbia. I think that she sees her problem as 'loving too much'. How can you love when you know that the object of your love cannot last? She doesn't want her children to even have a puppy because someday the dog will grow old and die. Why expose the children that you love to this certain heartache? In the final scene she returns home before the family awakes and she's drunk, recently raped, robbed, and beaten. She makes her kids peanut butter sandwiches for their school lunches, her husband stares from the second floor, and then she exits the front door...never to be seen again? A little melodramatic, but a compelling performance; with Sarah Silverman and Josh Charles. Filmed on Long Island, White Plains, NY, and Malverne, NY.
