845am. 905pm.
Up 730am: Partly sunny, breezy and temps to about 70.
Wrote up 'LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR' by Judith Rossner for the blog.
Watched 'SOPHIE SCHOLL' (Hoopla). A film about the 'White Rose' student movement in Nazi Germany near the end of WWII, but the central focus (and most interesting part of the film) is the interrogation of Sophie Scholl by her Nazi inquisitor. Both are convinced that they are right and know what's best for Germany. Sophie champions free speech and feels that it's imperative that the German people have a right to know the true nature of Nazism. While her interrogator believes that Hitler's policies are essential for Germany to lead the world and stop the spread of Communism. The 'White Rose' group circulated thousands and thousands of anti-Nazi leaflets throughout Germany during the war. Sophie Scholl was only 21 years old and was found guilty of high treason by the People's Court and executed (by guillotine) the same day, 22 February 1943.
12pm: read '3 SECONDS' in the living room until 130pm...ON THE TREADMILL... 4 1/4 Miles... Watched about half of 'MANGROVE' (Amazon Prime). First in a series of films about black life in London in the late 70's early 80's.
3pm: Aired up the bike tires and out for the first ride of the season. Twice around the 'Lynnhaven Loop' : 40 Mins.
***Opened a living room and kitchen window.
Then read more of '3 Seconds' in the living room. Swiped the front window and storm door. Cleaner, but streaked.
6pm: ON THE TREADMILL... 2 Miles and watched part of an ARI SHAFFIR podcast.
In the tub with '3 SECONDS (Kindle) and listening to YO LA TENGO. Only two beers tonight...tired.
I watched Desi Lydic and Ronny Chieng- The Daily Show. Comedy sketches about topics in the news. I did about 20" and then watched the next two episodes of 'UTOPIA' (Amazon Prime).
