 Sa 4/3/21

845 am. 145 pm. 855 pm.

Up 720 am: Bright, breezy, and sunny with temps to the upper 60's.

Watched Netflix disc 'PRISONERS'. Two young girls go missing and are believed kidnapped on Thanksgiving and their neighborhood looks eerily similar to The Oaks. Filmed in Conyers, Georgia, but the film is set in fictional Conyers, Pennsylvania. The rationale of Melissa Leo's 'evil' character:  "Making children disappear is the war we wage against god. It makes people lose their faith and turn into demons like you"...with Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Maria Bello, Terrence Howard, Melissa Leo, and Paul Dano. The first English language film by Quebecois director Denis Villeneuve (ENEMY- also with Jake Gyllenhaal).

It reminded me of  'AMERICAN WOMAN' with Sienna Miller. Both are excellent films about missing children and I couldn't say which one that I liked better.

Then I watched 'LONG SHOT' (Netflix- 40" documentary). In 2003 a young Hispanic man from Los Angeles is charged with the murder of a sixteen year old girl. He was at a Dodger game with his daughter and friends at the time of the murder and he was caught on film while The Larry David show that was filming at Dodger Stadium that evening. This led to the man's exoneration. A wild story and Larry David uses it at parties to boast about how he saved a man from a murder rap.

150 pm: Walked to the Monroe PO to mail back the disc.  Out Edwards, back 2nd south to Canedy, west to Fayette alley, into Wash. Pk. at McA, up the hill, Parkview, and down to 940...An Hour and Fifty Minutes...Mp3...The Libertines; 'The Fat Of The Land' ~ THE PRODIGY; Dylan Bootleg.

Home to read 'Hannibal'.

6 pm: ON THE TREADMILL... One Mile at 3.4 pace... More JIM BRUER on ROGAN.

In the tub with HARRIS and listening to JONI MITCHELL, NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS.

Watched 'JONI MITCHELL: A LIFE STORY- Woman of Heart and Mind' (YouTube). ***I ordered 'GIRLS LIKE US: Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon- And the Journey of a Generation'. I was debating whether to get it on Kindle for $3.99, but I decided to get a paperback and when it rang up I got it for free. Apparently I had 'Bonus Points'? Who gave them to me? Why? I'll take it!

JONI MITCHELL-  Saskatchewan, Canada. Polio at age nine. Married Mr. Mitchell because he could get her out of Canada. They were a duo, then she became a poet in California. Missed Woodstock because she was booked on the Dick Cavett Show. Became involved with Graham Nash in Laurel Canyon. Used a rock band and then got involved with Jazz. Jaco Pastorius Charlie Mingus. "Can you get through this life with a good heart"? She 're-meets' the daughter that she was forced to give up when she was nineteen.
