Up 725am: Sunny with temps to upper 80's- Near perfect early summer day.

Listened to the 'Fresh Air' podcast from yesterday;  How Russia used an overt agent to attack Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Watched 'WHAT JUST HAPPENED' (Kanopy). This wasn't a truly memorable film, but still pretty damn good. The film is a profile of the trials and tribulations of a big time Hollywood producer. He's just produced a film with a director who insists that the hero's dog must be shot in the head at the end of the film, but this is a turn-off for audiences everywhere. And in one of his other films, Bruce Willis  is under contract to play a contemporary American hero, but he will not shave his long beard or lose fifty pounds of recently added weight. Wry dialog and an all-star cast; with  Robert De Niro, John Turturro, Stanley Tucci, Sean Penn, Catherine Keener, Bruce Willis, Robin Wright, and Kristen Stewart.

Then the next episode and a half of 'DIRTY JOHN' (Netflix). Only two episodes remain and I plan to watch them tonight. I hope season 2 is half as good. 

Wrote up 'THE 13TH DIRECTORATE', and' TOMATO RED' for the blog. 

130pm: PC is 'Off' and preparing for a long walk with the new music on the mp3.

640pm: In the tub with BUTLER and listening to BECK, MILES DAVIS. 

***At just after 9pm and before the film, I was smoking 'the evening bowl' and I heard an explosion. Then I remembered that this was the fireworks show for The Carillon Festival. I was nailed and the fireworks were great. I think this was the first time I'd paid the slightest bit of attention to fireworks in a couple of decades and tonight I get the appeal... Our Tax Payer Dollars At Work!

Began Netflix disc, 'ROGUE'. A dumb premise and a dumber presentation. A female-led team of mercenaries try to extricate the kidnapped daughter of the governor. Their helicopter is shot down by the terrorists and they must take to the hills. They end up on an abandoned lion farm and are targeted by a rogue lioness and it's just as dumb as it sounds; the writer and director, Isabel Bassett and M.J. Bassett are mother and daughter; with Megan Fox.

Stopped at Chapter 10, One Hour on the nose.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
