Sa 6/26/21- Punishing Rain, but no water downstairs
Sa 6/26/21- Water Anxiety
940am. 3pm. 930pm.
Up 820am: Up late last night and today more rain, high humidity, and temps to the low 80's. Rain is in the forecast for the next several days.
Watched Netflix disc 'FIRST COW'. A cook from Maryland and a Chinese immigrant seek their fortunes during the early 19th century fur trade in Oregon. They decide to steal milk from the first cow in the territory so that they can make deep fried dough and sell it to the trappers. The film begins in contemporary times where a woman finds the skeletal remains of two people. Then the story reverts to the 19th century and shows how the cook and the Chinaman ended up there. Directed by Kelly Reichardt; with Alia Shawkat (I saw her on GETTING DOUG WITH HIGH last night), John Magaro, Orion Lee, and Ewen Bremmer.
A tornado watch has been posted and one to three inches is predicted for tonight and tomorrow. I hope the downstairs area is dry enough for Zane to do the demo work on Monday.
145pm: Downstairs to remove the shelving stays and get closer to finishing the whole basement area for the remodel.
3pm: To Planet Fitness.
***PUNISHING DOWNPOUR: Ten minutes into the workout the skies opened up and I'm sure inches fell!
45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30"Cross. Watched 'MURDER ON THE COAST" (Netflix). A Spanish True Crime documentary about a Spanish lesbian framed for a murder committed by an English serial killer. And then ' THIS IS POP'~ Brit Pop ' (Netflix). The OASIS vs. BLUR UK rivalry. OASIS had the better band, but BLUR had WHOO- HOO, then part of an uninspired episode of' BLACK SUMMER' (Netflix).
***AM I GOING BACK TO WATER PROBLEMS? Anxious to the max. NO WATER! I dodged the bullet, but heavy weather predicted through Tuesday.
7pm: In the tub with more 'INADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE' and listening to JOHN MAYALL, MELVINS ~'Houdini Live', finally more of ARI SHAFFIR'S interview with the 5 ft. 3 in. parking valet at The Comedy Store- lots of tales of drug dealing on the mean streets of Detroit.
Watched 'GOOD ON PAPER' (Netflix). A female comic from The Comedy Store falls for lovable nebbish and he turns out to be a pathological liar. It wasn't funny and comes off as unhinged or random, but not in a good way; with Iliza Shlesinger, Britney Young, Christopher Nicholas Smith, and Margaret Cho.
