Up 850am: Hot and humid with a chance of showers  early this afternoon- upper 80's. Later 'showers' was dropped from the forecast and it's so humid it would surprise no one because the flash flood warnings are still in effect.

I watched 'THE ICE ROAD' (Netflix). Over-the-top thrills and chills with semis on ice. A mindless diversion that is nearly impossible to believe but you can't take your eyes off the screen. The A.V. Club:

"Even at its dumbest, The Ice Road holds your attention; a climactic fight/chase scene even acknowledges that it’s hard to look badass on a slippery surface."

1pm: Preparing to mow the lawn. When I filled the tank a heavy shower began. No Go. 

ON the treadmill... 5 MILES AT 3.4 PACE... Watched 2 episodes of 'MANHUNT: DEADLY GAMES (Netflix).

Read in the living room, and at 430pm another crack at the lawn. Done by 510pm~ no trimming. 

***Heavy rain began 645pm.

Read till 615pm then in the tub with more ' INADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE ' and listening to WUSSY~' Funeral Dress'/ acoustic and electric, MIRACLE LEGION...Both of these bands are great and I must get more! 

Watched 'TAKE SHELTER' (Amazon Prime). Inside the mind of a decent man with a wife and young daughter who begins his descent into paranoid schizophrenia...Free-floating anxiety... "Something that's not right"... The 'twist' is that he DID foreshadow the apocalypse or maybe his wife is coming down with a case of madness; with Michael Shannon, Jessica Chastain, Shea Whigham, and Katy Mixon (EASTBOUND AND DOWN).

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 35 MINUTES; ORNETTE COLEMAN Playlist; began a J.R.E. with an English podcaster. 9am: Janny called and they will be here after their appointment with Dax at 10am.   Watched more of 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix)- The Belgian soap opera of 'all the beautiful people'. 1045am- 1235pm: She met one of her students who was a girl who is now a man. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
