Up 715am: Partly cloudy and breezy with temps to low 80's. Rain is in the forecast for the next several days. 

Watched 'STARGATE' (Netflix); with Kurt Russell and James Spader.  The 'hairy buffalo' creatures were 'created' by placing costume frames over horses. To make it appear that James Spader's character is pulled over the sand dunes, a dog wearing a costume frame was used to drag a puppet (dressed as Spader's character) because the horses couldn't take the extreme heat in the Yuma, AZ desert. The film was released in 1994 and three years later the idea was used for a long running television series and 'STARGATE' is now known as a Movie Franchise.  From Entertainment Weekly: "The film has flashes of psychedelic visual energy, but its story is limp." An enjoyable film especially if cannabis is legal and plentiful at your viewing location. 

Then I watched 'KEITH RICHARDS: UNDER THE INFLUENCE' (Netflix). I thought I had seen this one before, but it was my first time. A fine portrait of an undeniable legend of the music industry. He addresses the fact that 'As a Stone, you leave at your own peril' and what problems it posed when he became a 'solo' artist. When he first met Mick when they were schoolboys, Keith had a Chuck Berry album and Mick was carrying a Muddy Waters album. He claims that this fortunate encounter was enough to become fast friends forever. 

145pm: PC is 'Off' and will read and then hit Planet Fitness.

320pm. 45" Cross. 45" Treadmill. 30" Bike. 30" Treadmill. 30" Cross.  I watched 'Sir! NO SIR! (Netflix). The narrative is that Vietnam vets were spit upon, actually they spearheaded a national anti-war movement. ' THIS IS POP~ Auto-Tune' (Netflix) and some of TOM SEGURA on WHITNEY CUMMINGS. 

Schnucks: $90.00~ I paid for convenience. No bargain diet soda? Come on... 

8pm: In the tub with "INADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE" and listening to THE PALE SAINTS, 'Extreme Honey' ~ ELVIS COSTELLO.

Watched 'THE RUNNER' (Amazon Prime). "In the aftermath of the 2010 BP oil spill, an idealistic but flawed politician is forced to confront his dysfunctional life after his career is destroyed in a sex scandal"; with Nicolas Cage, Sarah Paulson, Peter Fonda, Connie Nielsen, and Wendell Pierce. I'll watch the last 26" tomorrow.
