Up 7am: Hot and humid with temps to the low 90's and very sultry heat indexes.

I put 'THE CHEESE STANDS ALONE' on my two hard drive backups.

Watched 'THE LAST RITES OF JOE MAY' (Pluto TV). A depressing, yet profound examination of the last few weeks in the life of an aging Chicago hustler. His whole life has been a colossal failure, but he befriends a young woman and her 8 year old daughter and it seems to give him something to live for. Shot on the mean streets of Chicago; Directed by Joe Maggio and showcasing Dennis Farina. It could have been better, but definitely worth a look, especially if you're a fan of Farina.  

I got a text from Janny and they will be arriving around 2pm. 

1215pm: On the treadmill...5 MILES AND THE LAST 2 MILES AT 3.6 PACE....Watched PETE HOLMES on a podcast.

2pm-445pm...THE BRANDENBURGS. Talked downstairs, nonstop with a multiplicity of topics: No chairs; standing. Next time we do it in the living room. I did learn that Jamie actually delivered Tom. She showed me a video of Jamie catching his third son just as Thomas exited Melissa. Because Jamie had been trained on childbirth he was able to do this, but he has never delivered a baby on the job. 

Read/napped in the living room till 625pm...On the treadmill...2 MILES AT 3.5 PACE. I listened to "YOU MADE IT WEIRD'' with Pete Holmes.

720pm: In the tub with a new novel, 'UNDER COVER OF DAYLIGHT' by James W. Hall and listening to JOE HENDERSON.

Made a quick pick on Crackle and got a Samuel L. Jackson film 'FORMULA  51' (Crackle). Satire/Spoof on the Gangster/Assassin Genre  ; with Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Carlyle, Emily Mortimer, Rhys Ifans, and Meat Loaf. I stopped the film at 1 hr 31" and I plan to watch the last thirty minutes tomorrow. 

***During a commercial on Crackle you cannot close the browser window and open another to do something else while the commercial plays. It pauses the commercial and starts where you left off.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 35 MINUTES; ORNETTE COLEMAN Playlist; began a J.R.E. with an English podcaster. 9am: Janny called and they will be here after their appointment with Dax at 10am.   Watched more of 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix)- The Belgian soap opera of 'all the beautiful people'. 1045am- 1235pm: She met one of her students who was a girl who is now a man. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
