Up 745am: Mostly sunny with temps to the upper 80's. 

I wrote up 'THE SUM OF US' by Heather McGhee for the blog.

Watched 'BECKETT' (Netflix). Not believable in the slightest, but enjoyable nonetheless. Probably because the locations are beautiful and not what you normally associate with Greece. A man falls asleep at the wheel and his girlfriend is killed in the accident. Because the crash occurred outside a house that held a kidnap victim, the bad guys are out to kill him, and even the American consulate is involved.  

Attempted to re-register my account for FOID and the website just 'spun' in the 'processing' phase. I finally got in, but it said I had to call a number to reapply and change address. Then I was on hold for far too long...It did say that the current cards are valid until 18 months after the 'declared state of emergency'. Apparently we are still in 'the emergency'?, but I've never heard anyone say when it ends. A waste of time...

1pm: PC is 'Off'...THE DILEMMA- Mow The Lawn vs. Walk The Neighborhood...Did neither. 

305pm: To Planet Fitness...45" Cross.  45" Treadmill.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30" Cross. Watched 'MEMORIES OF A MURDERER : The Nilsen Tapes (Netflix),'COLD CASE FILES'- Morman teenager is killed with a screwdriver at work in a 24/7 gas station, and finished a J.R.E podcast and began another JOE ROGAN. 

Wal-Mart after the workout: $18.00, 6 cup rice cooker. A simple buy and home in less than an hour. 

7pm: In the tub with 'TWEAK' and listening to CHIC COREA, AMON TOBIN (excellent contemporary jazz from Brazil. It was a fave band of Nic Sheff- 'TWEAKER "), 'FANTOMAS' (another Sheff pick).

Watched a 10 minute 'TED TALK' (YouTube) on 'Stoners coming out- beyond the marijuana monster myths/David Schmader'...somewhat entertaining.

Watched episode #1 and part of #2 of 'RECKONING' (Netflix). I had started this before and dropped it- this is the last chance.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. Another episode of 'I'M DYING UP HERE', and then another 'GLOW'. 250PM- Drove to FitClub West, then after the workout to the County Market on south sixth for beer and some groceries- and a dependable can opener! We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}. Pk northside, up the hill, Parkview, Fairway, and up to 940...ONE HOUR AND 35 MINUTES; ORNETTE COLEMAN Playlist; began a J.R.E. with an English podcaster. 9am: Janny called and they will be here after their appointment with Dax at 10am.   Watched more of 'HIGH TIDES' (Netflix)- The Belgian soap opera of 'all the beautiful people'. 1045am- 1235pm: She met one of her students who was a girl who is now a man. We exchanged books & Joe recommended an 'oiler' that fits under the belt of a treadmill. Melissa is now '2nd in command' at the Illinois Parole Board...
