Up 8am: Sunny to partly cloudy with temps to the lower 80's.

I wrote up 'ALL MY FRIENDS ARE GOING TO BE STRANGERS' by Larry McMurtry for the blog.

I watched 'THE AMERICAN' (Amazon Prime).  Paced slowly and set at beautiful locations throughout rural Italy, the film is about an American hitman's last job. He is to provide his expertise in assembling a rifle and how to make the shot and he doesn't even have to pull the trigger. Something seems off and his sultry client or his stunning prostitute/girlfriend might be trying to take him out. But which one? A very taciturn performance by Clooney and according to the Trivia it was an intentional homage to the Spaghetti Westerns of the late 60's. George Clooney heads an international cast. 

1230pm: On the treadmill...5 MILES AT 3.4 PACE and finished TIM DILLON on The Joe Rogan Experience.

515pm: Washington Park: South side, street parallel to panhandle, back park south side, up the hill, Fairway and up to 940...1 HOUR AND 15 MINS...Mp3...CREAM, BOWIE.

650pm: In the tub with DIEHL and listening to MARSHALL CRENSHAW, JOHN MELLENCAMP- 'The Early Years', Live ROLAND KIRK.

Began a Netflix disc that arrived this afternoon, 'A CROCK OF GOLD: A FEW ROUNDS WITH SHANE MACGOWAN'. Only watched half of this and will definitely finish it tomorrow. The Pogues were playing traditional Irish music with a 'punkish' flavor and they were trying to appeal to the many Irish youth that were living in the London area.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
