Up 740am: Partly sunny with temps to about 80. Another beautiful summer day.

Watched 'THE SECRETS WE KEEP' (Hoopla). In 1960 a suburban wife and mother kidnaps a man seemingly at random. She is convinced that the man was a Nazi SS officer who raped her and murdered her sister in Europe during the last days of WWII. But can she convince her husband or has she got the wrong guy? A rather tepid storyline and would have been much more exciting with a surprising plot twist, but the costumes and set details were the best part of the film; with Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, and Chris Messina. 

1215pm: PC is 'Off'.

2pm: To Planet Fitness...44" Cross. 45" Treadmill.  30" Bike.  30" Treadmill.  30" Cross. Watched 'PRAY AWAY'. A fascinating profile of the Christian anti-gay organization, EXODUS. This is the first time that I've seen a religious institution do a 180 reversal in their thinking. I still don't understand how they can rationalize their enlightened views because it clearly states in the bible that homosexuality is wrong and an abomination. If they can disagree with this, how about some of the other 'sticky points' in their holy book?  (Netflix), WHISKEY GINGER with Andrew Santino and Tom Papa, then a podcast about a guy who almost took the Scientology addiction cure.

On the couch to finish the LARRY MCMURTRY novel. A great read and I'm glad that I kept this book for over thirty years before I cracked the covers. 

640pm: In the tub and began 'SHARKY'S MACHINE'- William Diehl and listening to DESMOND DECKER, THE DETROIT COBRAS, more of the junkie who tried Scientology and then went to a rehab in Malibu. Harris Wittels- later he died of an overdose and he was also a writer for Sarah Silverman- A very interesting interview. 

 Watched the first episode and half of the second of,  'THE RIPPER: Once Upon A Time In Yorkshire' (Netflix). 'West Yorkshire' is the area of England that includes Manchester and Leeds.

We 8/15/18 Up 820am; overcast, clammy, and threatening. Rain predicted all day and tomorrow- none so far; 915am. (All day and barely a sprinkle- it was happening all around us, but nothing here) Watched  'SUSPECT ZERO' (Amazon Prime) Aaron Eckhart/ Ben Kingsley/ Carrie Anne Moss.  Eckhart plays a disgraced FBI agent who is being fed information by a serial killer. Seems to be Ben Kingsley, but he's not the killer, he's an ex-agent who can do 'remote viewing'. Not bad, but close, however excellent and creative charcoal drawings as the 'hints' to Eckhart's character. We 4/23/25- Gummy 645am {I took 1/4 of a 200 mg of 'DIET SMOKE' gummy: 50 mg total}. 650am (1-LB: Cookie Bread). 910am (1/2-LB: Cookie Bread).  1220pm (1-LB: Panama Punch). 535pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker). 815pm (1-LB: Permanent Marker).  Up 545am: A mix of suny & clouds with temps to about 80. Finished 'SIGNS' (Netflix). Clearly the drama hasn't ended, and I hope there will be infinite new seasons. {No such luck. I couldn't find anything about a third season}.
